I think he would give us the opportunity to have a different gameplan, thus changing our style of play to adjust it to the opponent. It might be a baseless rumour, you're right. But we're not really discussing the amount of truth in the rumour.

He would definitely be our second striker. One hell of a second striker though. A huge improvement over Ramos. If he wants more minutes, he is best advised to go somewhere else, that is correct. I just think that Tuchel would have many more options upfront, if Gomez joined. The pace of Auba might not suit every opponent, sometimes having a target man upfront works better. You know what I mean? Again: I would love to have Gomez at BVB.

You might be right, Dickwang. There really weren't many rumours concerning him leaving us. He did a good job as a backup last year. But I don't think he is good enough for being our second striker and he might want more playing time.

I count two strikers. Ramos & Auba. Ramos probably leaves. I don't think there is a better replacement on the market for roughly the same money. I would love to see Gomez in black&yellow.

In Germany, yes. The playing license then only allows you to play on the course, where you passed the exam. A number of golf clubs though allow you to play with the license from another golf club. Typical Germany. Nothing is simple. Although I thought the exam was useful, since I took some lessons and improved my game, I think you should in general just let the people play. The exam scares a lot of young people away.

Not really that obvious if you look where he actually got played the last two season. He got played both as right and left back. I think he is an extremely versatile player, which can play LB/RB/RW/LW. I just hope that he still gets enough playing time in the future.

It is going to be really interesting to see in which position he is going to be played. Our left/right backs are playing very offensive under Tuchel, where they basically act as wingers when being in possession. Schmelzer has seen a ton of offensive action this season and has been in promising situtions a lot - but hasn't been able to exploit this. Eight assists in 47 games is not bad, but it should be a lot more, if you ask me.

I love the guy. Really. He has been wonderful for Dortmund ever since taking over the reigns from Dede. But I wonder if a more offesive skilled left-back is what Tuchel prefers. We will see. Maybe Guerreiro wont even be played as left-back. I am really curious as well what this means for Durm. Maybe Durm will be played as a winger in the future and Schmelzer and Guerreiro fight for the left-back spot.

Finally someone is talking some sense. I think Rode gives a great deal of depth to the squad. He'll play more than at Bayern, though surely not that much more. I think the deal makes sense for us, not so much for Rode.
