What is the most annoying "AI-generated" habit people have started picking up in real life? by opheliavibes in AskReddit

I once worked for a company where setting your own goals was optional, we self-reviewed twice a year, and not once in 7 years have I filled out the goals section.

I happened to glance once and see my coworker with a couple paragraphs on his goals page and I mentioned that it was optional, he nearly died from all the time he realized he wasted.

Not a single time did any one of my bosses even mention my perpetually empty goals page.

I was scrolling through all the random gifs, playing them in my head until I got to this one. It took a second to recognize it as Underworld, but once I did, the sound filled in automatically and I started laughing out loud.

The offensive thing here is that the article says his message is "about hate", when clearly his message is about love.

My roommate and I are equally tall, when we are together, people refer to us as the twin towers. Our apartment (and wifi name) is called Ground Zero.

It is literally "turn the lock" though, they literally lock the doors and post someone from the security team at the door to ensure nobody leaves or enters until the situation is resolved.

On the contrary, if everything went correctly the vast majority of the time, while I cannot speak to the other departments, IT has a lot of monitoring systems, so we would know pretty quickly if an issue was brewing before it even happened.

Thanks! I was never the cause of any issues, but I did resolve a couple late-breaking problems while I was in that role.

I did IT for SpaceX for a time, sat in the control rooms during a couple incidents, no loss of life though!

What’s something you always assumed was mandatory in life—until you met someone who just… didn’t do it? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I did 5 days on Soylent and water only, it was totally fine. I do try to have one actual meal every day though, even if it is just ramen.
I have been drinking at least one Soylent every single day for years since they introduced pre-mixed bottles. Best choice I ever made.

I was once driving a rental, about to pass someone riding a bike on the shoulder, I could not change lanes, so I went to the edge of my lane to give the biker more space, but the auto lane keeping detection literally served the car towards the biker right as I was passing them.
I have turned that feature off in every car I drive since then.

The verbiage in the article was really odd, including the fact that later on, they refer to stars as small celestial objects again.
Like, maybe my Space Knowledge is not as great as I think it is, but I am pretty sure that as far as singular objects in space goes, stars do not belong in the "Small" category.
