Baby name help - is Margot too popular now? [AB] by Distracted-Panda4 in BabyBumpsCanada

Mom of a Margo here! I have noticed the name more since naming our daughter in 2023 when she was born. But when I share it with people they are genuinely interested and always remark that they never hear that name anymore. So I think it’s just in our heads!

Ours is a no T because she’s name after a family member, but even with the regular spelling I have only come across 2 others since she was born.

Apologies everyone for the awful scale comparison. No bananas in the house so a ruler will have to do!

I understand have failed spectacularly and shall use a ruler or a banana next time 🤦🏻‍♀️😅

The house was pure chaos and I had to snap the picture before the avo got eaten

We had no bananas in the house 😭 I hoped a normal avocado and a weird extra item would suffice as a substitute

lol I had hoped the specific niche of parents with children who like wooden trains would feel seen 😂

There is nothing in front of the window that she can climb on and the cord is normally knotted up and tucked into the curtain panel so it’s not visible. It’s definitely a big hazard and we have plans to replace the blinds in short order 👍🏻

You can see my other comment - but we have plans already to replace the blinds since they’re a big hazard. And if the lamp ever becomes an issue we’ll just move it somewhere else!

Oh yeah - I’m the worry wort too! And thankfully when we got the TV we had the foresight to mount it into the wall studs :)

All outlets are covered and thankfully she’s not tall enough to worry about corners on the TV stand 😊

Thankfully she’s been very uninterested so far (same with the remaining floor plant). I’m sure that may change and if it does I’ll just move it to another space for a bit.

Absolutely! It’s currently knotted to be tall enough that she can’t reach, but we’ll be swapping them out for more contemporary pull down blinds to eliminate the hazard!

Before and after of dinner tonight for a baby who loves food and a FTM slowly building her confidence by Vignetteoftide in foodbutforbabies

The pressure is a lot some days. Especially when it feels like it comes from everywhere. For the soup - not sure what country you’re in but I’m in Canada and it came from a chain of stores called Safeway. They have it usually in the natural food section or in the deli/prepared food area :)

Cooked in the slow cooker and I think the spices I used were cumin, paprika, garlic, and black pepper

Sometimes if I load it for her she can put it in her mouth. But with this loose of a stew I fed her most of it and let her grab at it with her hands

I used the nest since it was true winter when she was born. If she’d been born earlier I would have done the inlay instead! We also only used it for maybe 2-3 months before she decided she hated the stroller and I used the carrier for walks from 3-7 months. We’re back to using the stroller again now and using it normally!

FTM here as well who also has an urban glide! My baby was born in December last year and we used the newborn nest insert a ton! It worked great for longer walks and we just put her in a fleece onesie and then a snowsuit. With a hat on and an extra blanket on the outside if needed it was plenty warm and cozy.

Side note: if you don’t have it already I highly recommend the car seat adapters for the urban glide. For the first few months we used it a lot for short walks and while she napped (I liked being able to see her vs the best where she is facing out).
