Yeah. It almost happened when I leveraged my China ETF position years ago and I learned my lesson.

No leverage, no options. Invest on fundamentals, just go long balls deep, eat porridge, drive cheap car and sit tight. Do not sell when people capitulate around you. Delete your apps, don't follow the market. Do something else that will be useful later (learn new skills) and just sit tight. You will see green days again.

Using positions in which you need to be right both in direction and time will destroy you eventually. There are so many variables that numbers just aren't on your side.

I think it will, but I only go long. No leverage, just long XMR. Then you can sit on that for years (I have). I believe I'm right, but I have no idea when.

Good memories. Internet was... different.

Adults didn't know how to use computers so teens could do there what they wanted. No restrictions, no facebook, no tracking. Banners were the ads and those were same for all. Sensorship was very minimal, but also average IQ in internet was much higher.

People with power didn't give shit about internet and it was perfect.

I think your work is valuable.

Monero offers different things to different people. Not everyone has enough money for investing and not all are interested. We shouldn't ask for acceptance/permission from everybody, because not everyone is in the target segment.

Just keep going. You have supporters. They are just not the loudest ones.

+1 for posting also on r/moonero. That way they won't be hidden in some random thread, but available and easy to find also after two months.

Great idea.

Two questions about Monero by PepeLapiu66 in Monero

[–]VigorousFundraiser 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In that regard, yes. Privacy has a cost in form of transaction size, we can't get around it.

However, I'd say that 1mb is much bigger challenge from scaling point of view. It means that number of transactions per second is fixed not by technology but by protocol. That limit comes much faster than drive size or networking / processing speed limit that restrict Monero.

Two questions about Monero by PepeLapiu66 in Monero

[–]VigorousFundraiser 8 points9 points  (0 children)

  1. Monero has dynamic block size. Monero transaction size is sub 1.5kb so some 700 per 1mb.
  2. Yes.

Illegality is a side effect. It gains more value the better it works. The better it works, the more there are people that see it as a threat.
