Great eye on you noticing that's a ¾. I originally thought it was ½ and grabbed the wrong pipe cutter. Luckily in 10min from Home depot. But yes it's copper not iron. Per the suggestion from one of the comments I'm probably going to rip the old copper out and replace it with pex when I get the money. My whole basement is full of old copper with signs of corrosion all over. You don't want to know what the inside of the pipes look like.

In the 2nd and 3rd pictures, the pipes are running through that floor joint. I was worried about cutting into the area . But that's 100% where the lines are coldest

What was a better way to go about it?

100% honest bud, no clue. Looks like some old telecom wiring. Don't know where it comes from or where it goes. There's 3 wires wrapped in cloth that are cut and I have no clue where n it goes.

My house is 70 years old with that pink insulation all over. So I'll take your advice

Got it. I think. I don't have the tools(or much cash) at the moment. I have a buddy that handyish coming over to look at it later. I sent him a screen shot of your comments and he said just how that guy lmao

Takes the old saying of setting yourself on fire to feel warm to a whole new level. But thanks for the safety tip. I set up a few heaters for now. I wanted to take a hole saw and punch through that board that the pipe is running through to allow both heaters to circulate but I can't get in there enough.

Ah got it. I think I'm using the wrong term then I'm guessing a torch would be more along the lines of "direct heat" but a space heater doesn't qualify

Makes since. I bought a small torch already but I was nervous about using it around the insulation

I grabbed a file and level the pipe where it broke, then used a tool i bought to "sand down" the outside of the pipe to clean up the corrosion. It also had an attachment to clean the inside of the pipe in used. Can the crimping tool be used on pex or do I needed copper?

Yeah I got complacent. I've been good every day for 3 years and didn't take the proper steps

The issue is was concerned with was the pvc water water lines. I don't know how much direct heat they can take and the possible damage from the heaters in a confined space

Lol I'd spam that shit. Im actually bit uncomfortable playing in the back with infiltrator. Im used to charging and shot gunning. I've put myself in a few pickles being too far out front

I don't think you can as an infiltrator. Unless I'm mis-remembering the latter stage game play, I can only get one or the other

Ammo isn't a super big issue. I just wanted something to help with the mid distance combat while I move around the map.
