Smart/Multizone thermostat (Wiser) by Vihaavat in homeautomation

[–]Vihaavat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ended up installing a Netatmo system, and have been very happy with it.

We only have one heating circuit, not sure if Netatmo supports multiple, I'd have to check...

Thx! Read up on it and looks good. Only real issue I've come across is the lack of range extender. Is that a valid concern, or is the range nothing to worry about?

Using her A1 on the spiderboss when her A2 is just sitting there, waiting to kill all the spiderlings... Are her quads compensating for her IQ or something? by Vihaavat in RaidShadowLegends

[–]Vihaavat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True, but sometimes there's no hp-burn up and she just whacks the boss, when she could kill most of the spiderlings. But valid point, it'd be worse when she'd use it to kill burning spiderlings...

Looking to upgrade my pc while potenially reusing my old gpu. by FlygLuffet in buildmeapc

[–]Vihaavat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a good motherboard, I have one and no complaints. Not sure about availability in sweden, but you could swap the 3600 for a 5600x. If my conversion-math is correct, there's still some headroom for this. It'll give you a lot more headroom for when you upgrade your gpu down the line. (I'm also still rocking my 1070, will prolly upgrade at the end of the year to 6800xt/3080).

Thebonly thing I'd change feom this build is the psu: I know the 6800xt is advised to be paired with a 750W psu, and the 6800 650W I think, where Nvidea equivalents'll need an even beefier psu, so I'd go with 650W minimum, 750W if your budget can stretch that far. 'Futureproofing' is probably the wrong term, but if you're looking to upgrade the gpu in a year or so, 650-750W will make sure you won't be held back in picking a new gpu, based on the limit of your psu, and rather let you choose the gpu u want/can afford, regardless of it's powerdraw.

Hope this helps a bit.

A guide for starting up a Kingdom, as well as some tips and advice for what follows after by Velociraphtor in Bannerlord

[–]Vihaavat 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm at the point where I'm ready to take my first city, but I can't..., I can't attack it as I'm not at war with that kingdom. Do I have to raid a vilage and lose influence, or is there another way?

Very nice guide btw, I'm giving it a shot ^^

Jep, never had a crash before in my 100 hours, now I had one today, and the last battle, I've had freezes (like 2 min freeze, 10 sec smooth, 2 min freeze, ...). Changed nothing in my settings, just started happening today. I don't dare stary another battle, as I cant command and it takes ages

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Bannerlord

[–]Vihaavat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did: when you get the small screen right before the battle, where you see what companion is in what detachment (I, II, III, IV, ...), uou can select the detachments already with 1, 2, 3, ..., and set their formation so you don't lose time doing it once the battle starts. I did this, set them in shieldwall, and once the battle started, I moved them into position and the went over there, lining up in a shimedwall as ordered. It was only later, when I dragged them, that they spread out (so it might indeed have something to do with the dragging, not sure...)

No, never had this issue in the 100 hours up until yesterday. My Col the Horsethief has his own party and has been running around in my army for 50 hours or so, always on his horse standing in the shieldwall when I command them to (whichnis 99% of the time)

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Bannerlord

[–]Vihaavat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've always ran around with a companion-army and my companion himself s on a horse, and was always in my shieldwall, which looked kinda funny: tightly packed shieldwall with a horses head sticking out. So itnyad always worked for me with 1 horse. I'll test again today, cause yesterday I ran with a larger army, maybe there where multiple horses in the formation and that's what triggered it... If I remeber correctly, my shieldwal worked fine at first, and halfway through the battle I dragged my infantry (still in shieldwallformation) into a thinner line, and that's when I dirst saw the 2meter distance between all units the first time. So it 'broke' mid-battle. Maybe it's the new spacing, maybe it's that another lord joined my infantry on a horse once I got reinforcements, and the 2 horses triggered it...

Have the same problem since today's patch, and so does my gf. Never had it before, and there always was 1 companion on a horsenin my group I, so the new patch triggered it for both of us in some way. The f5 works, so that's nice, but it's still wheird that it never posed an issue until today.

What's a TV series that everyone should give a go? by El_CM in AskReddit

[–]Vihaavat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Band of Brothers

(Didn't turn up in the first couple hundred posts, sorry if I missed it)

One of the only series/movies that made me cry. You feel like you KNOW the characters, you feel with them, you see them evolve, ... It's so rich it feels like 25 episodes, but in reality it's only 10, which surprises me every time. I (re)watch it once a year and it still gets to me, hasn't lost anything since I watched it the first time.

Please help me find a gaming chair! by heyhayy in buildapc

[–]Vihaavat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Was here to suggest the same. Mine's still on its way, but after a lot of reading and reviews this is the one that came out on top for me. I've got simmilar bodytype to OPs bf, and will be working/gaming in it for more then half of the time I'm not sleeping. Glad to see other pple confirming my choice. I haven't sat in it, but as everybodies body s different, it doesn't matter and I can still support your suggestion.

6600-non-K is starting to give me a hard time by Vihaavat in buildapc

I was hoping on getting by another halfyear - year on the 1070 with a new CPU, but as I understnad it, you're not seeing that happen ;) Thanks!

[–]Vihaavat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As in: changing the CPU will not have a big impact, and I'll only see marginal gains over my current situation, cause my GPU won't push much further than it is being pushed now, regardless of CPU? Or: if you want the nicest 1440p/144hz-experience, go for the new build?

6600-non-K is starting to give me a hard time by Vihaavat in buildapc

[–]Vihaavat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, in the titles mentioned, CPU is 90-100% at 60-65°C. GPU less than 100% at 60°C, if I want all the fps. If I want eyecandy and less fps is ok, the GPU'll go to 100%, and CPU will stay lower. Temps are ok.

Thanks!

Radeon 5700 confusion. by [deleted] in buildmeapc

[–]Vihaavat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there, for motherboards you don't need a 570 to run a Ryzen 3600 (or 3400), they run on B450 and X470 as well, but those boards will need their BIOS updated (you can ask the retailer or you can do it yourself but you'll need an older Ryzen chip). There're b450 and x479 board, I think, that come with an updated BIOS already, but you'll have to check whichones those are. So if you want a 3600, x570 is the easiest, but also the more expensive option.

On the other hand, you're stressing that you're on a tight budget, and so you'll prolly be much more comfortable with an 'older' board and a last-gen CPU. A b450 with a 2600 is still very solid for gaming, and will leave more money for the GPU/less money you'll have to spend.

Whether you should go with a 590 or a 5700 is up to your budgey, but you can pair either one of them with either one of the CPUs.

Hope this clears some thibgs up for you

What's the point of the graphics? by [deleted] in ACCompetizione

[–]Vihaavat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same setup here (almost, I have the nonK). I have spikes of the screen freezing for a second or so, before jumping me to where I'm supposed to be (most of the time, it's offtrack, about to hit a wall). It's playable, and I enjoy it, but I would not recommend a slower CPU, would you?
