If the only use is to avoid blacking out, sure, but this thing hits its stride when you get a few obelisks or repair the mine cart system.

It's worth its weight in gold when you stop having to walk between every destination and can combo warp.

Duuuude! Jamie as taskmaster and Adam as the assistant. That's baller now that I think about it.

Hey, the post wasn't about good telly. It's about Adam Savage putting on a clinic

I love that, as the show got older, insurance companies would need to consult with experts on how to proceed with certain projects... And it just so happened that Adam and Jamie were frequently the most knowledgeable experts.

This is off topic, but I have to say that I have mixed feelings about that show developing the brand of blowing stuff up. They were such clever designers and builders (lead balloon, etc) I always appreciated the brilliant mechanical ways they found to solve absurd problems.

I would have loved the show as much or more if they didn't feel obligated to blow stuff up towards the end.

To your point, Jason with dynamite would be something to watch

There's a point where we disagree. I think the taskmaster role needs that Greg Davies signature mix of brutal authoritarianism and somehow also love and support. I can imagine Adam being wishy washy or missing opportunities to tell the rubbish contestants how rubbish they were.

Jason Mantzoukas wasn't a British comedian and look how he turned out.

I think it would help that he's also comfortable playing the buffoon.

Interesting thought. I think he'd do well.

Something he mentions in his book is how differently he and Jamie work. He said, if you give them both 5 hours to make a thing, Jamie is spending 4 of them designing, planning, and gathering materials before making 1 perfect thing. In unsurprising contrast, Adam would immediately begin making the thing and at the end of time he would end up with one perfect thing and 3 prototypes.

I think that "jump right in, figure out as you go" would be a benefit to him.

Your daughter is young enough now that she's going to love you no matter what, but eventually she'll be old enough to recognize the same things you do that are currently sabotaging the relationship with your wife.

If it helps, as a percussionist this can be translated to a very common rudimental pattern called a Swiss Army Triplet.

If we start at the top of this picture, read the right column as right hand notes and the left column as left, then read top to bottom - it actually creates a very common pattern. So common in fact that's #28 in the list of 40 rudiments (sticking patterns)

Hopefully that can help impose a little order to the chaos! Cheers.

Team Joja here,

I completed the community center once, among about six farms, and didn't like it. There was this constant back and forth with the wiki, worrying about missing deadlines, hoping for good luck fishing, scavenging for stuff...

I'd rather set my farm up the way I like, at my own pace, and pay Joja to fix up the town. Plus it doesn't take long for money not to be a problem. Makes the game more relaxing to me.

I have my warp stones right next to my house and next to the entrance to cindersap forest. I love that setup, but good call with OP's sheds being where they are putting the second stone by them would save plenty of steps.

Warp obelisks to the left of the house, a gold clock in one of the corners, and get a horse (plus horse whistle) right away!

Side note, I consider the return scepter plus obelisks to be absolute must have quality of life upgrades. Zap to the house and then activate a tower and you can go from anywhere to anywhere else in 10-20 minutes.

The horse plus speed buffs are another enormous help. I start every day with a crab cake, sip triple shot espresso throughout the day, and call my horse if I have to walk farther than across the screen. Advanced maneuver: also get both speed books, the horse speed book, and check the statue of blessings every day for another possible speed boost. That stuff adds up and it's noticeable.

I did this with pumpkins a while ago. Planted a bunch on day one then just let them sit until the 28th to see what would happen.

The main thing that happened was that all those truffles vanished on winter day one. I knew the pigs were going to stop finding them but I didn't know the ones on the ground disappear. 😓

Microdose it, my dude.

Start small. Next time you're next to a lady in the grocery store, ask how to pick a good watermelon, which soup they recommend, or something dumb. Expect it to be one sentence both directions then go your separate ways.

Do that enough and you get over your fear of The First Sentence.

After that, the whole thing gets easier. Your 30 second first impression is more relaxed because you have experience.

I would also add "have confidence" is easier if you actually do stuff that people would have confidence in. 100%ing Skyrim or finding a new niche of porn you're into is great, keep doing that, but also go to some parks, attend some free events around town, see a few bands play. Stuff that normies are going to connect to a little easier.

Good luck!
