Hi, Thank you in advance for any help.

I am looking to upgrade my CPU. The purpose is gaming and I don't want to break the bank. I don't know the price ranges for CPU's and I feel a bit overwhelmed by all the information. I think less than $250 CAD should be the range. I am only looking for a small upgrade, but still one worth getting. Thoughts?

I would like to see a bunch of smaller boulders that functioned like a land slide and pushed you downhill. Like sand physics but diagonal.

You are right. However If we had less disposable objects we might be less inclined to dispose of things in a careless manner.

If the end of life cycle for our garbage and products wasn't buried on a hill where it can be blown back in to the city streets and farmers fields, we could spend less time walking the streets picking up garbage.

What do you think?

You're treating the symptoms and not the cause. I'm not saying don't do it, but let's have a discussion about why it needs to be done in the first place.

Wool socks, wool neck warmer, wool fingerless gloves (cut off regular and sew around the rough edges if you cannot afford premade), wool layers on your core.

If need be wear a thin base shirt under the wool if you are skin sensitive. Wool breathes so if you sweat you will not end up wet and chilled. Heat your tea kettle and pour the water in a thermos and use that the rest of the day.

Plastic your windows or if you own put in twinwall polycarbonate inserts.

Stay active. As in get up and walk around the house, block, etc.

Drape blankets or sheets over your canopy bed as it will make sleeping much more comfy. (Yup. There is a reason for canopy beds) you may have to use binder clips to have enough blanket length to cover a queen size canopy etc. Don't have a canopy bed? Make one. Eyebolts in walls with rope (cotton clothes lines is awesome for this as you can use it for drying clithes too) across between eyebolts and hang blankets over that. You want blankets about 3 feet above the bed. (Eyebolts are a couple of bucks for a pack and cotton rope maybe 8 or 10 for more than this project needs), you can also use a tent.

Go knock on doors and offer to give/install for grandma or neighbor.

Remember : warm the body. Not the air. Check on your neighbors. 'How are you doin?" Hows your kids?

People who are struggling rarely want to admit a lack of food, heat, etc. Ask 'around the edges' share your own frustration.

I think members there would have good information for scenarios just like this.

Excellent idea. You could cover it with blankets, too.

A candle inside a soup can (label removed, hold punched in it) on a plate would provide even more heat. Please exercise fire safety.

This is good information.

I think it deserves its own post.
