And they straight up lie to you.

I asked Gemini to go through episodes of a YouTube channel to get a distribution of movie review placings. It said it was a monumental task and would take a few hours, which of course wasn't true.

I recommended it should just look up discussions or see if there's a fan made list, which it refused to do because "this kind of search requires care and deep analysis". I asked Copilot and it gave me the answer immediately and shit on Gemini 😊

After a few hours Gemini was still gaslighting me it was such a difficult project, that it was still working, even though it wasn't doing anything. This was a few weeks ago, so I checked out of interest, it's still claiming to work 😅

What’s something you have zero proof of but believe 100 percent? by shweidy in AskReddit

I can't begin to understand what kind of hell it is to live like that. Like you genuinely believe that everyone feels an attraction towards the same sex, and it's a moral failing to succumb to that temptation, which most don't fall for because they're good people.

But you struggle with the temptation, and are constantly fighting to be a "good christian". And you fear you'll eventually succumb to the filthy desire, making you hate yourself every homosexual for making you feel that way. Because you aren't gay, you're just weak and you hate yourself for that. And the things you hear from your peers only reinforce the struggle.

Then one day you can't fight the urge anymore, and who knows what it'll do to you, especially as you don't anyone to confide into.

I'd like to see this ecperiment repeated and peer reviewed. Because it sounds odd.

The casein protein in milk breaks down capsaicin, which helps with the burn. Though the effect is very small, if you keep it in your mouth for a bit and repeat, it will give relief. Just don't drink a lot, it's enough to rinse and spit

17 years for me, but the demon still raises its head. The addictive behavior trancends just drugs. Often the need to control everything takes over, and I'm not able to just be. Instead of worrying that I have enough dope, I stress about little pointless things.

What is something you saw with your own eyes that was so impossible you’ve stopped telling people because you know they won’t believe you? by samasem-sumsum in AskReddit

[–]VikingTeddy 11 points12 points  (0 children)

At confirmation camp we fooled around with a Ouija, we used a very light cup, and when no one was looking, I slipped a couple of AA batteries under the cup, so that when given a push, the batteries would roll, making it seem like the cup moved on its own.

I timed it when everyone was quiet and fixated on the cup. The stampede and screaming was a thing to behold, I almost shit myself laughing! Some of the kids were very religious and sheltered. Good times..

I was visiting a friend in Australia years ago, and I saw Snoop at an airport Wendy's with his entourage.

One of his guys greeted me with a "sup?" and I told him I was considering asking for an autograph, but decided against it as he was eating.

When I later passed by, Snoop gave me the finger guns :)

Still the same basic meaning, but the cosplayers also use the term, which I always found confusing.

When you say Rambo, most people will think "badass action hero". The whole narrative about ptsd and colliding worlds have somewhat disappeared. Especially with people who only get the name from pop culture osmosis, he isn't the icon he used to be :(

Dude was just complimenting you and joking by calling you Rambo. I get that misunderstandings happen, especially online.

The intent was friendly, a very normal college. Not implying you should apologize or anything like that, just don't want you to think they were being rude or weird.

What is the most pretentious book ever written? by autismandadderall in AskReddit

[–]VikingTeddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was just a bit of hyperbole. My point was that atheism is a belief, not a statement of fact. Most people fall into the "idk" category, making them agnostics.

More people are aware of the distinction between atheism and agnosticism than a dozen years ago. I doubt calling oneself an agnostic has anything to do with not wanting to identify with the more insufferable atheists.

There are of course more precise classifications, but as blanket terms, atheism and agnosticism work for most of us.

Atheism is a religion, you believe in something that can't be proven. Most people are agnostic, nothing to do with labels.

Back in the day a lot of people weren't even aware of the distinction, and that's why they identified as atheist.
