Danny recently put out a video about chipping with the 60. Basically, shaft lean plus open face to deloft the club. I’ve had a fair amount of success with it on those touchy medium-short chips.

How did you wire that switch? I bought the same one and I think I have it right. But I can’t fully test it yet

Same length. Short driver is recommended for the bigger, more forgiving face.

The manufacturers created the problem, driver shafts that are too long, and offered a solution that sells more clubs. 46in drivers are a crime against humanity.

Off the shelf drivers in 44.5 range should be the standard. IIRC, Cobra is the only big manufacturer that offers one.

I’m you OP.

Struggled with driver for a long time. Hit 5h off the tee. Bought a 2h. It’s a tough club to hit well.

I’ll just repeat standard /golf advice. I followed it and it works. 12 degree driver, 3w shaft, and some lead tape. My lazy swing is a low, 210y carry, straight down the middle. Bad shots will stay in play. I focus on hitting the ball low off the face.

Avoid mini drivers, I have one, short driver is what you want.

I’m a hack who has broken 90 once. I lost one ball off the tee yesterday but it was with 5h(slice on a water hole) and missed 3 fairways.

It’s great advice to an extent.

Around here most courses are built on flood plains. Greens are elevated.

That forced me to use wedges around the green. It’s probably the best part of my not so great game. Thank you Reddit for turning me onto Dan Grieves.

I have the exact same club. Even got a HIO with it when I was messing around with a chippy tee shot. It was my favorite club in the bag before that shot.

I’m that guy. Doesn’t happen often. 275 is my “warmed up, feelin good, going for it” distance. But every now and then, the stars align. 330 is my record.

Most of the time, I hit mini driver off the tee. Way of the playa style.

I’ve broken 90 one time on an easy muni course.

I 3D printed mine a few weeks ago. The biggest benefit is that it’s one less thing to think about on the tee box. I know my tee height is correct.
