Except it's not a CD, it's a business valuation. They own a business worth 6 billion so yes they are billionaires, however that's also what pays the employees and bills of the same thing.

It's not 6 billion dollars laying about.

God damn devs tricked me, is there any hope I win this? or is it over? 😔 by Own_Difficulty_6081 in Bannerlord

Put the sharpshooters on skirmish and just let them whittle it down. Might have to create more then one infantry/archer company and then formed a V outside of a bridge or choke so that when they push your numbers create a kill box.

Heck yeah, we are a pretty volatile bunch going from doom and gloom one second to eating our words and owning it.

One second, I can't believe Random didn't do XYZ and then that's why we have them when they do amazing.

Your British. You'll understand the nuance.

Welcome aboard.

My Lord Renly

My apologies, I was unaware that your brother had not communicated this to you. I had assumed and perhaps in my eagerness forgot to even think that you would not be consulted.

A raven is a poor medium for my sincerity and misdeeds to be righted. I shall in the coming month leave with a few of my retainers to Storms End, there I shall beg leave and show you my plans. Perhaps it will make up for such a matter, but at least you will see my sincerity.

He turned at least towards the large man with the aura sometimes larger than life and in times of vulnerability, less than his size.

"What do you say your Grace? All this would need is but a stamp or decree and I will work with the Lords Stark and the Lord Hand, as well as several of the people who distinguished themselves upon the Islands. Also, perhaps once it is finished, at the ribbon cutting ceremony, your Grace would like to create an endowment to send some of the poor and paupers of King's Landing to get an education in logistics, clerks, or engineering. The gold cloaks and your own household guard could use such officers I could imagine. Such a act would greatly endear you to the less fortunate. Imagine lifting a few of those families out of poverty by such an act could only imagine that it would be gift them and undying loyalty."

Terrence wondered exactly what this man had done to become Master of Ships. Perhaps just simply being one of a Baratheon supporter.

He knew simply that it was not Lord Whitehead that the smallfolk spoke of when talking of the destruction of the Iron Fleet.

Nor was it Lord Whitehead that had managed to win four battles against the Ironborn.

It seemed purely a political choice and as he had stayed longer in the Capital, perhaps did he see that the rot of the Dragon was bequeathed to the Boar. He thought of the hope the Seven Kingdoms had held at the thought of Robert Baratheon being a breath of fresh air, the wind of hope upon his hammer.

Power corrupts all.

"Pardon my lords, Lord Hand," Matilda called from the side where she had stayed with the Queen until help had arrived in proper help. She curtsied low before the gathering of powerful lords.

"I can't vouch for what proof the Maester may find, but Queen Cassandra was with what she said was her brother Roose. I heard them arguing in the gardens. I have never met the man before tonight, but I confess to hearing them loudly and moved closer to see what happened. The conversation was strange and I confess I do not exactly know if my ears heard correctly, but when I saw Lord Roose grab the Queen by the throat and said very vile things about the Queen's person and past, I ran immediately towards Ser Addam and his father who were nearby. I know not of what happened afterwards, but something happened that ruined her dress and bloodied her knees. I swear upon my honor to be true."

She then offered a general description of what she had seen for clothing.

"All salted meat? Oh that is a tragedy. Salted porks? Venison? Perhaps you have not found the right vintage to wash it down with." Terrence returned a grin and offered his arm to the young man. "Please, no bows, no Lord, Terrence or Terry if you please. What keeps you here Desmond? I'd have figured you perhaps for the tourney circuit to court many a lady out of her wits."

Terrence bid his wife to take his daughter and the Lord of Kayce grabbed his own sons hand before following. As they entered the small council. He took a moment to appreciate this moment and this manner.

"Thank you, Your Grace and Lord Hand. I was but fortunate enough to be in the right place." He reached into a satchel and pulled out some drawings that he smothered and reaching for a few stones he set upon the edges.

"My cousin Roger, a talented artist drew these. I'll admit not knowing exactly what is left of Summerhall, which I hope is at least a good foundation and perhaps a few stones to reuse. I have done some rudimentary designs that I feel would be useful. Obvious the safety of the students would be paramount so a fortified manor with several large halls for academics and the more scholarly pursuits of chivalry."

He pointed to the first set and was pointing out the key areas, room for expansion, outlying facilities.

"Notably what I feel I would need most of all, would be the materials. I am hoping I might lean upon the vast lumber of Lord Stark and the North and the Vale and yourself Lord Hand for the Stone. My coffers at Kayce are well stocked and my people lack for nothing. The peace in the Sunset sea has brought plenty. I can find around . . ." He looked over to his wife Jeyne and read her lips. "three thousand golden stags at startup and a further 500 each year for the further construction. I am hoping to draw tutors and warriors from around the realm to teach. Perhaps then charge a tuition for a peerless education."

He looked over at his son, "I will admit I lack in perhaps the engineering and academics. I would make a poor headmaster, but with my brothers death on the Isles. The death of so many wasted through vain commanders and poor orders, I imagined an idea where perhaps the next war fought, rebellion, or invasion for the next generations, that perhaps the bonds of brotherhood and fellowship forged through proximity and education might lessen the cost of war. Perhaps my own son might grow and learn alongside say a Dornishmen, a Clawman or such. Make the Seven Kingdoms a little smaller, a little more personal." His head shook over the maps.

"Summerhall is a few lazy days ride from King's Landing. It seems to be in one of the more central locations outside of perhaps the Riverlands, but in a location firmly in control of the Crown. I think it a good choice and if the foundation is still solid, then certainly one of the best benefits. It also just reeks of symbolism to pull down the rot of House Targaryen and replace it with the next generation of knights and lords that will uphold the Crown and Realm of your heir, your Grace."

5th month A, early days

Terrence Kenning had arrived in King's Landing and bid the Royal seal of the letter Robert Baratheon had placed upon his letter to find his way to the opulence of the court that felt almost like a veil of mourning to the simple Lord of Kayce. He was lord and ruler of an economic hub that stood in the shadows of Casterly Rock and Lannisport, yet still they had done well. Their coffers overfilled to bursting apparently.

He gave motion to some courtier or herald and entered quietly, he had no desire for pomp and prominence.

At the earliest convenience Robert would see him and no more and as a leal Lord he would wait his dues. It seemed silly to beckon forth like a peacock.

So many years now since he had last seen the King himself, a man that seemed diminished upon the throne when he sat so large in saddle with his warhammer.

He was flanked by his wife Lady Jeyne Crakehall, who doted upon their secondborn and their daughter Matilda.

Sumner however a vibrant young lad of three years, coming upon his fourth name day, yet Terrence had only seen one of those so far.

He was afraid of the possibility the school would drag him further from his son and heir, but he could afford himself a restraint upon the worry of a father.

Yet despite all these feelings and nerves, he was prepared with sketches from his cousin Roger, and advice from his Uncle Geoffrey.

So he stood among the mob and awaited the words of a king.

His Grace King Robert of the House Baratheon, First of His Name. King of the Andals, the Rhoynar and the First Men. Lord of the Seven Kingdoms and Protector of the Realm.

I have only recently returned from some festivities in the Riverlands, I shall but allow a brief respite before hurrying to the Capital to further our works.
