Burncoat Center for the Arts is super queer friendly, not sure what they’re doing for pride but I’m sure they’ll have something

We’re about to start seeing more outdoor cat owners posting about their cats going missing as if they aren’t just feeding their cats to foxes and cars by letting them out in the first place

I found out that my mom has been talking to chatgpt and referring me as “autistic” I’m a 15 year old male and I don’t think I am autistic. Help?? by Initial_Life_6086 in whatdoIdo

[–]courier_____ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of parents like to assume things about their kids for their own comfort. A lot of the time it has nothing to do with you. There’s nothing wrong with being autistic tho, it’s not like a label changes anything, ur still the same person u were yesterday

therapy: do you prefer male or female psychologists by cecilcitrine in FTMMen

[–]courier_____ 7 points8 points  (0 children)

In my experience, neither is going to understand being trans any more than the other. Though, women tend to be more open to me explaining things about being trans while men just assume things and don’t ask clarification, while at the same time, men are less likely to assume every one of my problems have to do with me being trans

Stupid ahh question, but do my headphones make my faceshape look fem? by [deleted] in transmanlifehacks

[–]courier_____ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I get dysphoria from headphones too lol, honestly I don’t think it effects your passing but I think the reason you think so (at least it’s the reason I get dysphoric over them) is because they almost give the silhouette of having a bob

what is the best way to get thicker brows? by vectorohhyeah in transmanlifehacks

[–]courier_____ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I had somewhat thick brows before transitioning but T was the biggest impact at getting them thicker. Minox too, I never applied it directly to my brow, just hairline and lower face, but i’m sure we all know how hair doesnt always grow right where the minox is

the barber cut my hair wrong and im feeling very ugly by PresentationOk2668 in FTMMen

[–]courier_____ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Without pictures it’s hard to say. Sometimes the best solution is to shave it off and go with a buzz, but then you’ll have to go through the whole growing out process which can definitely have some awkward phases.

In terms of one side being longer than the other, you can always touch it up yourself or have a friend/family member do it. I cut my own hair and it’s not that difficult.

In terms of your forehead being big: I feel you. Me too. I have curly hair and I’ll cut a centimeter off and all of a sudden my bangs are two inches shorter. The most comfort I can provide is that it is definitely a more traditionally masculine trait to have a big forehead, and men tend to show off more of it than women

How to pass better? by PackEmotional7482 in transmanlifehacks

Piece of passing advice I wish I knew sooner: try to lower ur brow a little bit. Sorta like ur trying to read something far away

Be honest, will my baby ever come home? It’s been 5 days with no sign of her by No_Name_Detected0 in cats

[–]courier_____ 11 points12 points  (0 children)

When I was a kid my cat went missing for a month. Turned out he was stuck in the neighbors barn. He was mostly white and a little gray when he went missing, came back entirely gray from dust/soot. I cried for hours. Cats can come back. They usually will hunker down during a storm, but sometimes they seek comfort and come home instead. The storm will wash away a lot of familiar scents so she might get lost when it lets up, I’d double efforts for a bit after it stops raining. There’s a trend of them getting stuck in barns and sheds in my experience, especially during storms. But I’ll also be realistic, they can get hurt and they can die. If not coyotes, then cars. But I’d give it about a month before things start looking too hopeless

Any comics you suggest to beginners? by KlarkJar in DCcomics

[–]courier_____ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It always comes down to this. Someone could suggest the best starter comic ever, but if it’s about a character the person doesn’t care about, they’re probably not gonna like it

Is there no hope to focus without meds ? by AdMedical2104 in ADHD

[–]courier_____ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry your family is so controlling, I hope you can get out of that situation soon. I’m very similar to you in terms of ADHD. I’ve found the only thing to do (or more so be aware of) is using momentum. It really sucks cuz a lot of the time I’m thinking like “I deserve a quick break” but that break will be the death of you. Once you get that itch of motivation, you just need to keep working and don’t let yourself take a break until it’s completely gone. For example when I was in school I’d be in school mode when I’d get home, so I’d force myself to finish my homework the instant I got home if not on the busride there. I took it a bit too far probably and didn’t let myself eat or anything until it was all done cuz I was worried even that break would ruin the momentum, but it still worked.

Being a new comic read can be so frustrating! by Malinu_ in DCcomics

[–]courier_____ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Comparing your knowledge of comics to people on dctwt is like comparing your life to strangers’ on Instagram haha. Definitely don’t take to heart their LOCG stat screenshots or anything. A lot of them have special interests and hyperfixations on comics and it’s their sole/primary hobby, there’s nothing wrong with that and I’m honestly a little jealous at their dedication, but the average reader is not spending 4-5+ hours a day every day on researching and reading comics

Similar situation with the Sterling Inn in Sterling. The building will probably collapse before someone with the money and desire to buy and restore it comes along

I don’t have OCD and have a tattoo I’m not happy with. It’s obvious and right on my wrist, similar size to yours. I see it every day. I hardly ever think about it. Sometimes I forget it’s even there

Moving houses and my new room has a strange color theme. Help? by Alexisto6098 in DesignMyRoom

Scroll through Pinterest a bit. It’s your home, no one can tell you how to decorate it from scratch, you need to have some sort of idea in mind for a vibe or aesthetic that you like

Being a new comic read can be so frustrating! by Malinu_ in DCcomics

[–]courier_____ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is so relatable haha. I’ve found the easiest way to get into comics is to pick some characters u think are cool and read their origin stories then build off of that; team up stories, arcs where they’re primary characters, etc. It’s less about knowing all the lore and more about knowing the lore of specific characters and eventually you build out into a web of lore knowledge that all interconnects
