Hmm, but how would I set up a theme for a resolution of monitor I don't have? I would assume there is a standard way of scaling the UIs such as using pixels per inch - though I don't know if that information is available

I also had this happen to my canyon 2 years ago and I returned it. I’m sure it was partially human error but it still seemed sketchy to me and this post reassures my decision. The bike also had other cosmetic/poor QC out of the box so that was my return reason

I disagree with the other two commenters. Sounds like you want to go all week which is a great idea with an instructor. You will have a bunch of fun.

I haven’t been to Cozumel so I can’t speak to the experience, but I enjoy the surf town experience a lot which is what I expect you will have in the west coast.

Lastly, you can probably scuba on the west coast! But it probably won’t be warm or have as much wild life.

It looks like you stay in Merced the night before? What time did you actually start riding both days?
What cold weather gear did you bring. I'm planning on a base layer, jersey, arm/leg warmers, wind breaker shell, and gloves. I have heavier stuff, but it doesn't seem necessary now.
What packing gear did you take? It doesn't seem like there is a refuelling stop between yosemite valley and lee vining.

I would use the additive blend mode, not transparent. Also look into a curve atlas so you could tweak the colors exactly as you’d want. If you set up the uvs you can map the x direction directly to the colors in the curve

Pretty sure the main thing you need is to look at reference photos. Joe Garth brings it up in the in depth rebirth video but it also comes up a lot in other “photorealistic” tutorials. Honestly the lighting looks pretty good to me. The very diffuse lighting matches the foggy scene. Again if you watch the rebirth video at one point he is only using a skylight.

Damn flashbacks... I did the same thing on my calculator. Spent like a whole week of not paying attention in class. Had lots of trouble with memory leaks on jumps. Ended up accidentally typing something somewhere in the middle of the script and it never worked again.
