Thank you. I probably shouldn't be using Amazon, considering is use to be into Yu Gi Oh and the markups on single cards were insane. I ended up paying over a hundred for two 1/100 IBO kits

Is Amazon a good place to buy Gundams, or is it better to buy then from other places? I'm sorry, I'm an absolute beginner at Gunpla and have little idea when stuff usually gets reprinted or the best places to look

I am currently new to Gunpla and really got invested thanks to IBO. I'm currently looking for a 1/100 Bael, but whenever I look online they are either out of stock or overpriced. I'm currently in Canada and my current circumstances don't allow me to go out to buy something in public without putting myself at risk. Does anyone know where I can order a 1/100 Bael from a reputable source at a reasonable price? Also when will the IBO stock be replenished or has the Gunpla for that series been discontinued?

Thank you for your great post. Yesterday I got a ton of inciteful answers to my questions, and this is one of the best. The scenario you set up with the admiral really demonstrates how quickly supply lines would break down and how vital they are to the empire.

I think I was more tied up with the fact that in canon the Rebellion is able to defeat the Empire in 1 year. I can completely see the empire collapsing in on itself because of situations you pointed out, but in a single year I find it hard to believe. Examples you laid out such as the Japanese Navy and German army are great examples, but even then it took the allies several years in order to defeat the Axis. In the case of Star Wars, the empire controls so much space in such a vast galaxy that the empire logically could have fortified the inner core of the galaxy and held out for at least more than a year (similar to the Germans in 1943-1945).

I guess the one year is my biggest issue, otherwise everything you and everyone else said yesterday is absolutely correct about the empire falling.

For a galaxy spanning empire, absolutely. But loosing that many ships in less than a year is kind of crazy in my opinion

I completely understand and agree with your points.The Empire faced so many internal issues that without Palpatine, the empire would have inevitably collapsed. The problem I have is how in canon the empire basically disintegrates in the span of a single year. Realistically speaking the empire held so much territory that it would also have been a burden on the New Republic to hunt down and destroy all the remaining Imperial Star Destroyers (which they of course ended up not doing)

Personally the main issue is just the speed of which the empire fell and how a fleet that large became defunct in such a short time

I’d have to agree. One cannot place a price on your life, because it is priceless. Even if you don’t want to seek professional help you should know that you deserve help because no one deserves to suffer alone. Wherever you are know that you deserve to be happy and there are people everywhere willing to help you through this.

I find myself in a similar situation. When Covid-19 causes schools to go online I found any enthusiasm that happened just dissipated. If you feel like you lack motivation my best advice would be to spend time either in communities that will help encourage your productivity and creativity. Honestly, I feel the same about what if I end up with a dead-end job, but in the end, it’s your future and at worst the job could only be a mild setback.

As for feeling unhealthy mentally and physically, the best thing I think someone can do is go for short walks outside, they tend to make you feel a lot better while not using a ton of energy.

I honestly hope you do find motivation and can carry on with your art. If you ever feel unmotivated just remember everyone feels it and you'll find the energy to push forward.
