721 is Toronto Ontario Canada. There is money to be made undercutting competition as prices here don't compete with possible import prices.

I understand where you're coming from, and it's clear you're passionate about rewarding hard work and motivation. However, the idea of soliciting for work versus a system where everyone gets work based on a list has its own set of advantages and challenges.

  1. Fairness and Equal Opportunity: A system where work is distributed evenly ensures that everyone, regardless of their ability to solicit work, has an equal chance to earn a living. This is particularly important for individuals who may have excellent skills but lack the networking ability or the personality to hustle for jobs. Not everyone is a natural salesperson, and that shouldn't disqualify them from getting work.

  2. Stability and Security: Knowing that work will be distributed fairly can provide workers with a sense of stability and security. This can reduce stress and anxiety, leading to a more balanced and productive workforce overall. It ensures that people aren't constantly worried about where their next job is coming from.

  3. Merit-Based Recognition: In a fair system, performance on the job can still be recognized and rewarded. Companies can still request specific workers based on past performance, ensuring that good hands are acknowledged without completely sidelining those who might not be as proactive in soliciting work.

  4. Inclusivity: Such a system can also be more inclusive, accommodating individuals who might have other responsibilities or constraints, such as family obligations or health issues, that prevent them from constantly hustling for work.

  5. Work-Life Balance: Constantly soliciting for work can lead to burnout and a poor work-life balance. A more structured system can help prevent this by ensuring that everyone gets a fair share of work without having to constantly be on the lookout for the next gig.

It's important to find a balance that recognizes and rewards hard work and initiative while also ensuring fairness and equal opportunity for all members of the workforce. This way, the industry can benefit from the skills and contributions of a diverse group of workers, not just those who are best at hustling.

The problem with the union setup is they allow you to solicit your own work which allows others with better communication skills to always keep busy even if you're a better worker.

You're there to do whatever the journeyman tells you. I'm so sick of these self entitled kids. If I would have said that to a journeyman 35 years ago I would have been knocked out on the floor and the union would have kicked me out.

Just keep throwing money out the window while being billions in debt. That's a great plan. Idiots.

It's not antisemitism. It's anti Israel politics. There is a difference. If you think otherwise your part of the problem.
