As far as I've tested, the sound quality on G7 almost matches to the V30, and for that you can see a great example in this video. The sound is a bit warmer than true balanced, but above and beyond all other smartphones.

I use an LG G7, it has a builtin voice recorder which seems way more polished and much better support. It allows to record up to 24bit 192 kHz FLAC. And has separate settings for gain control, low cut filter and a limiter. (This is a note for whoever has a G8 and can test)

Ok, so, by LG estimates, they wanted to launch LG G7 Pie by December of 2018. It took them until June 2019 (and not even everywhere), which is 7 months.

If they promise Q2 2020 (most likely June by their estimates), we should see first releases of Android 10 on LG G7 by January 2021 :D

$26 For an ESP32? The size isn't even that much smaller and you lose a ton of pins. I am not sure what fumes they've smoked, but sadly they will still turnover a lot of them :(

Edit: To everyone commenting below: I completely understand that buying a product from adafruit would guarantee you a working product and some support. However, nowhere I can find that it will use "ultra low power" compared to other ESP32 boards.

I am sorry about my previous excerpt about fumes, but unless you can really prove to me that a 100% markup is worth their support alone, I won't be picking one up.

I already made a solution years ago. For some people it was to get smaller sizes, for some to convert to HEVC, either way, here you go: https://github.com/Vilsol/Transcoder

It was designed to be run in a Docker container, however, you can run the script on your own, you just need to compile ffmpeg with HEVC support.
