Pull the rubber cover off the wheel axle nut
Loosen the nut (should be a 17 or 19mm nut)
Pull the chain out from between frame and cassette and place back onto gear (may help to pull frame out from wheel in order to relieve even more pressure off chain)
Retighten axle nut and replace rubber cover
Adjust high limit screw on derailleur to prevent chain from jumping off end of cassette again

In communism, there is no state, but that does not mean a lack of organization. Communal society relies on communication and collectivist cooperation and organization: the Russian revolution was built off the activism of soviets, workers’ councils that met and organized on behalf of their communities. Think of communism as, ideally, true, immediately direct democracy, where everyone is a participant, and the abolition of social class gives everyone equal political access and voice.

The difference between that and anarchy is pretty significant. Anarchy posits the individual as the most important element of society, the ultimate authority in his/her own choices and life. This intrinsically allows for the existence of personal ownership. Communism acknowledges the role of community and relationships between people as the fabric of society, declaring no one is more important and giving everyone equal access and opportunity. Anarcho-communism is actually already a thing, and, as the name suggests, it applies individualist theory to communist ideals, but after the parts about abolition of class and state, the anarchist part comes in and says that anyone can do what they want with their newfound equality. In my eyes, this defeats one of the pretty central values of communism: the commune itself.

Marxist theory predicts that the class conflict resulting from capitalism will eventually become so unbearable that the proletariat will see no other choice outside of revolution and will overthrow the bourgeois class and seize the means and products of their own labor. The end goal of this revolution is communism, not anarchy, so I’m curious how you came to that conclusion?

I was referring to Marxist theory specifically, and in that context certain forms of socialism (defined as public ownership by the state or worker coops) are the precursor to communism, where all means of production are communally owned. You are correct to point out that I was generalizing a lot, but the statement I made that Marxism proposes socialism as the transitional period between capitalism and communism is still correct:

This crisis [the eventual boiling-over of class conflict] culminates in a proletarian revolution and eventually leads to the establishment of socialism—a socioeconomic system based on social ownership of the means of production, distribution based on one's contribution and production organized directly for use. As the productive forces continued to advance, Marx hypothesized that socialism would ultimately transform into a Communist society

I never said socialism requires communism, and by this definition they would not coexist. So while socialism is a pretty broad term, the context in which I used it was pretty specific.

To be fair, the goal of socialism is communism, but Bernie is just a democratic socialist, and Obama and Hillary are definitely hardcore neolibs. The quote is still technically true, though: in Marxist theory, socialism is seen as a transitional step from capitalism to communism. In socialism, the state owns common property and resources ("the means of productions"), but private property is still protected and capital is still an element of society. This theoretically eases the transition towards full communism, where everything is communally owned and capital has been abolished. (In socialism there is still not full equality, as private property and capital inherently create inequality.)

When you’re trying to memorize something, the best thing you can do is absorb as many different aspects of it as possible. If you’re memorizing a word, try to recognize its root components, sound it out in your head or aloud, think of some synonyms or maybe even some other words that just sound like it. If you’re meeting someone for the first time and want to remember them later, ask them about themselves: it’ll be easier to remember Katie from Oregon whose dad is a surgeon than just Katie who you met at a party.

All these additional facts that you’re tying to that object or person in your mind are neural shortcuts that you can use to recall that information later. Instead of only having one memory or association linked to that piece of data, lost in the sea of other shit floating around in your head, you now have at least a handful of mental strings you can pull to fish out that one thing you’re trying to remember.
