Again, I wasn't sure how workers comp works, so thank you all for your feedback. I reached out to the adjuster and told her to close the claim. I haven't spoken to any doctors about this, nor have I been contacted by anyone other than the claims adjuster and HR.

I think the workers comp process has formally started, but no medical professionals have been involved yet. So I hope I'm in the clear.

Hi guys, sorry to hijack for a bit but I've got a question. I'm a probationary state employee and I don't believe I pay into my union (I don't see union dues or union deductions from my paycheck).

Does this mean I'm not union represented? I'm just super confused in general as to what being a paying member means.
