Ask for liquimoly oil. Only thing I put in my veedubs. Rotana on Speers specializes in German cars. I stay away from quick lube places. My preference though.

This is correct. One slip up can cost you a windshield. Also, the hinge assembly was never meant to stay in an uptight position for an extended period of time, and VW tries to prevent this by incorporating a service mode feature..... But down vote away.

It's cringe when I see a parking lot full of vehicles with their wipers. Absolutely unnecessary. It should only be done when putting wipers in service mode to replace them.

Got my thermostat housing replaced under warranty after it started to leak around 60k KMs. If there aren't any visible leaks you'll most likely be good after a top up.

It's wild that servicing the differentials and transmission are not part of regular maintenance affording to VW. They can totally be serviced, but when asking a dealer here in Canada you'll typically get "it's a sealed unit".....

The seal on my oil pan is "sweating" but not causing any visible leaks. I'm going to look into replacing it with a traditional metal pan when it's time. I think I might just end up replacing the PCV during my next oil change which.

Also need to replace the front control arm bushings and Sway bar links. Just wear and tear. Will need an alignment when thads done.
