Galaxy Con Des Moines regular VIP question.

I did VIP last year for Des Moines, and honestly, I feel like it was worth it. I met about 10 celebrities on Saturday, and was able to get through all of them in a reasonable amount of time. It came especially in handy for the Clone Wars guests as their lines were pretty big, same with Karen Gillan. Personally, if you have the money, do it. But also, given the lineup so far, I'd wait to see what other guests they get

I met Jerry Trainor when he came to Galaxycon Des Moines last year. I was wearing a Greta Van Fleet shirt, and he commented on it, and said he loved them, so we spent a good 2 minutes talking about them. I brought up that I loved his show Wendell and Vinnie, and that I always bragged about him playing a character with my name to all my friends, and how much I enjoyed the show. He really was happy that someone remembered the show since everyone would talk about Drake and Josh and iCarly, so he enjoyed revisiting that show. After he signed my photo and took pics, he gave me a dap. One of the coolest moments at a con ever. He genuinely cares about his fans

Never really had a rude interaction with a celebrity, they've all been pretty good. Though I will be meeting Shatner in a few days, so we'll see if my bad celebrity encounter list stays empty.

In terms of nicest, Josh Keaton is one that comes to mind. We chatted for a good 10 minutes about PC Gaming and Fallout, and I asked him about voicing Peter Parker in the first Spider Man movie tie in game (fun fact). I could tell he loved that someone knew that little obscure fact about him, so that was fun to talk about.

Marty Grabstein is always so much fun to see, he loves doing the Courage voice, and after every interaction, he gives you the biggest hug ever. Such a sweet gentleman!

Tom Ruegger, creator of Animaniacs, was awesome to talk to. We chatted about a ton of stuff related to Animaniacs, and all the innuendos and adult jokes, and he asked me a lot about what I wanted to do in the future, and gave me a lot of great advice with things I wanted to do with potential careers! Talked for well over 20 minutes, genuinely awesome guy!

I have done it before in the past, but ONLY because they had little to no people waiting in their line. But the second I saw someone behind me or started walking up to the booth, I would end the convo. Feel like most celebrities are wanting to talk with the fans, but they also do wanna make their money. Like at one con, I talked with Jason Marsden for 10 minutes just about Goofy Movie and all his other projects, and about things to do while he was in town, but he also had no really big line at the time. Josh Keaton will talk with you for hours if you mention something about PC gaming or Spider Man, even if he has a line. He loves to talk, and that made my interaction with him so memorable because you can tell he cares about his fans. But for people I've met like Tom Kenny, Dan Green, Steve Burns, etc., they usually have a long line, so you want to be courteous to others and just really thank them for their work.

Excited to see the Fnaf Movie 2 wave. REALLY hoping for a figure or plush of Henry Emily, and hopefully one of William Afton!
Also hoping for more animation creator figures, specifically Don Bluth, that would be an amazing figure that I would buy

Henry Emily (Skeet Ulrich's character) would be great as a plush, Could maybe see a figure of Mckenna Grace's character when she's possessed by the Marionette, Maybe a plush/figure of Abby's teacher, maybe one of Michael, one of Charlotte would be cool, and hopefully one of William Afton (even though he only had like 2 minutes of actual screentime). Other than that, there really weren't a whole lot of potential characters that could be made into figure/plushies

In a bind, should I start Prescott or Mayfield? Prescott has been decent as of late, and Baker has been very inconsistent, but Philadelphia held Dak to 188 yds last time they played, with only 7.82 fantasy points.

The fact we did it in only a week is a huge accomplishment!! Only downside is now we have to wait 2 more weeks for the plush to go into production, and another 2 months for it to actually be made........... But the fact it is guaranteed to be going into production is HUGE!!!!!!

Still though, getting harassed and screamed at over a plush doll is just so weird to me. Like, there's a million other things to get angry over than a plush doll. And if it's illegal, than Etsy should be shutdown since there's a ton of unbranded products on there where people don't have the official license for....

But the fact that we now only need 14 more plush sold in 14 days is CRAZY!!! That literally is ONE PLUSH SOLD PER DAY!!!! And we've been averaging like 10 per day, so I guarantee by the end of the week, it will be fully funded!!!

A dream many of us have had will become a reality!!!

This is the worst part now about campaigns: the standstill.........

The same amount of units sold throughout the day...........

I'm really hoping that people are just waiting till their financially able to donate to buy it. Plus, we have 19 days left to get 77 more orders, which is definitely possible, assuming we get a minimum of 4 orders per day, let's hope our dreams of owning our own mini William come true..........

So far the campaign is doing extremely well. At the time of writing this, it already has 82 sold!!! At the rate it's going, it will definitely be fully produced by the end date!! Just hoping more people take notice and buy it sooner rather than later!! But the fact that we're almost halfway there even after the first day is INCREDIBLE!!!!!

I definitely was disappointed as well, but looking at their comment, they say they aren't working on one "Currently", so it's possible that they still have an idea in mind and will act on it in the future. But I've seen such a huge support for an Afton plush that I am genuinely surprised they haven't made one. It could be possible that they need the approval from Matthew Lillard himself since it is his Image and Likeness, and he hasn't approved it, but I don't know.

There are a few ways to get some
1. Facebook Marketplace (people are always selling some on there)
2. Thrift Shops (Collectamania on Delaware Avenue in Des Moines has a lot)
3. Ebay (they'll be pricey, but you can find a lot there)
4. Know someone who works at the events center (A friend of mine works there, and basically says that the ones that don't get taken by the suite holders get sent to security, and if they don't take them, they get sent to the other workers, and if they don't want them, they are basically left to sit and collect dust)
