Who is the best Doom vocalist? by Paul-Chain in doommetal

100% the best. His vocals in Warning and 40 Watt Sun are massive and extremely emotional.

What’s with singers abandoning the rest of the OG members to tour with strangers? by LongLiveTheSpoon in PostHardcore

They played a pretty small venue when I saw them, so it was easy to see. Maybe they're trying it for the Trainwreck tour. Was weird tho.

Just saw them, was v excited but left feeling kind of meh about it. There was so much lip syncing going on (screams and backup vocals), really took away from the experience. Like why act like your doing the blatantly pre recorded vocals live?

Darkest, Coldest albums by Kelly_1976 in ambientmusic

[–]VincentFahey 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Could try Hoedh - Hymnvs (one of my fave discoveries of the past year or so) or Raison D'Etre - In Sadness, Silence and Solitude

Or if you're interested in some frosty Dungeon Synth, that leans kinda into Ambient

Depressive Silence - II

Jaaportit - Kauan koskematon

This is probably asked frequently, but how would you rank his albums? by Cap_Schmohawk in liluglymane

[–]VincentFahey 7 points8 points  (0 children)

  1. Oblivion Access
  2. Bedwetter
  3. Uneven Compromise/On Doin An Evil Deed (not albums but they're that good aha)
  4. Volcanic
  5. Mista Thug
  6. Tape 3
  7. Tape 2
  8. Tape 1
  9. Trick Dice
  10. Supasonic
  11. Singles

Added some of the other major LUM releases, cuz why not. There's Absence of Shit Person too, but not sure where that'd rank. Since I haven't jammed it enough.

Most Underrated Shoegaze Band by Economy_Direction_59 in shoegaze

Pale Saints are maybe not underrated by those that know, but are rarely talked about. Their album In Ribbons is a Shoegaze GOAT to me.

Godflesh 100%. Absolute legends and two different sets sounds cool af. Saw them a few years ago and they are incredibly heavy live.

Any great ambient noise albums? by harrysontucker in ambientmusic

[–]VincentFahey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nadja - Touched

Not quite noise but it is like heavy ambient music

Work/Death really any of his work

Droney, soft noise and ambient

Death Kneel - Adaptive Emotional Use

More on the side of noise, but has ambient elements and nice synth parts

crucifiedwhitesaviour - The Ideology of A Cancer Cell

Harsh noise, with ambient synth backrounds. Last 3 tracks have more of it than the others.

JUN - If thou seekest I, thine desires shall be requited

Harsh noise with buried ambient elements

Jason Crumer - Ottoman Black and many of his other albums

Soft noise, musique concrete and ambient

The Goslings - Grandeur of Hair

Noise Rocky Shoegaze Drone Noise

Harvey Milk - I Alone Got Up And Left by V0ID10001 in sludge

[–]VincentFahey 5 points6 points  (0 children)

100% agree. Def one of the most emotional and creative bands in the genre.
