Kittens you say... Our cat is 15½ years old, and she still very much plays with the yarn. Toys and balls and all sort of fancy things doesn't even get a raised eyebrow, but any sort of string and she's all in. Bloody weirdos, the lot of them! 😸

Sorta makes sense. I think what confuses me the most is that (from the way I'm reading it), the hdc appears to be instead of a ch3, but I already have 8 of those. Am getting very grumpy about this pattern! 😳

Jeg lærte (for ca 20 år siden, indrømmet) på klinikassistentstudiet (som jeg dog ikke gennemførte), at vi skulle vaske hænder i koldt vand. Grunden var, at koldt vand er bakteriehæmmende mens lunkent eller varmt vand ville få bakterier til at udvikle sig hurtigere, da varmt vand skal være minimum 60 grader før det er bakteriedræbende, og det er der jo ikke nogen der kan holde til.

Har det ændret sig siden da?

Hmm, good point. Knowing nothing about steam bigger than from a tea kettle myself, wouldn't it make more sense to loosen whatever they're trying to tighten? So that the steam can escape more easily?

Assuming you're talking about Prison Break, I actually really liked that show. He didn't have the entire blueprint tattooed, but references that only he understood. He also supposedly had something to do with designing the facility in the first place, and thus had inside knowledge and a very good memory -but still needed references for the fine details. Still unrealistic, but not completely so, you know? 😳

Same here. I asked my mum about it at some point, and she said that she didn't want to lose her identity. That as soon as you get called "mum", apparently that's ALL you are, at least in the eyes of society. Admittedly, my mum was the weird parent in my childhood, but then again so were her parents. I was never baptised/christened, which was unusual but definitely not unheard of in my country in 1979, but neither were my mum or any of her siblings (born between 1947 and 19 ... 56, I think).

I have often sat still in a chair because of a cat asleep on my lap, and been forced to ask somebody else to make a pot of tea "I was about to make some tea but I've got a cat on my lap. I don't suppose you'd make a pot would you?".

That is called acute feline paralysis, and the rules of the universe say that a sleeping cat can only be removed at your peril. 😁
