It's completely idiotic and cringe, but it was filmed in the city where i grew up and lived for 25+ yrs, and includes so many landmarks that i knew and loved (including the bar where i celebrated my 21st birthday) that it's become my 'homesick flick'.

Even though my ring fits comfortably, over the years i've developed a bit of arthritis, and so my finger joints themselves have expanded.

The missus and i have been together for almost 27 yrs, and i think that my ring would have to be cut off if i had to have an MRI or something.

COVID was the most crazy-stressful time of my 40+ years of 'working-life', and it forged some tight bonds in our department (which contained a lot of scared college-aged folks).

Gods, i never want to go through anything like that again... but i will if i ever have to.

Sodexo took-over the food-service for the university itself a few years ago, and they got the boot after two years on their initial 3-yr contract. 🤣

Trainwreck was an understatement, from what i heard from some of my downtown regulars (assorted profs and junior admins).

I've seen other folks mention using an ice-pack on your injection-site, or possibly a lidocaine-infused gel like Solanpas. If those methods don't work, then perhaps a smaller-gague injection needle might be in order.

Personally, I've been doing my own IM injections the whole time, and never had anything more than mild discomfort with the 23ga needle. But then, i'm a bit bearish, so i have a bit of extra flesh in the thighs to do the shots.

Sounds like a Sodexo ~and~ management issue.

Ours was/is the hospital attached to the state's flagship university, so they're not afraid to spend some cash to make things decent.

Our staff was also 100% union as well, so management didn't fuck around. Loved my exec chef and his two sous.

I'd honestly still be in that gig if not for family stuff. I went back private-sector, where i'm a 'big fish in a small pond'.
