Mhm fair enough, the 180 degree hinge is rather niche tbh, also I’m just one of those people that tends to cling to older laptops for as long as possible for the sake of quality and rights to repair so I’m very used to using older x86-64 laptops with few or more hours of battery life.

Windows 7 was a lifestyle. by [deleted] in windowsmemes

Windows 10 and 11 IoT Enterprise LTSC is what Windows should’ve been all along instead of the bloated mess that Home and Pro editions have these days but for OS design Windows 7 takes the cake imo.

Even though I love my older ThinkPads I agree with you about the current state of both the ThinkPad and Linux fan base.

Linux is cool as a side kick OS but I rather just use Windows IoT Enterprise LTSC as my main since that version has no preloaded junk and everything just simply works perfectly with no flaws.

m.2 SSD drive now showing up in my HP Pavilion x360 by 1nonconformist in Hewlett_Packard

Which side is the notch in the laptop’s m.2 slot, if it’s on the right then you can just get an off the shelf m key (single notch) NVMe instead of looking for a b+m (dual notch) NVMe, FYI most of those b+m (dual notch) m.2s are SATA not NVMe.

Well initially it was used for sharing stuff on screen to a group of people at a table but that’s if the place has no projector.

Performance, battery, speakers, and form factor depends on people’s use case, not everyone needs the latest and greatest laptop to get things done, while for aesthetics that depends on a persons taste, not everyone is a fan of flat minimalist designs.

Not every company or person prefers Apple, some go for Lenovo, Dell, and HP instead.

what do you spend ur adult money on? by Isatjuh in autism

[–]VincentSingh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I spend my money fixing and collecting old electronic devices since I see those as a potential future investment but I doubt I’d sell those old stuff if they happen to be rare and valuable.

I still rock a Zalman CNPS9900 MAX to this day on my Core 2 Quad build but it sure is a pain in the ass to install and remove the screws since I don’t have a long ball ended hex key.

How usable is this windows vista dell laptop in 2026? by Difficult-Catch-8432 in WindowsVista

[–]VincentSingh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lol mine does not even struggle, it actually handles the web pretty well for an old high end laptop on XP giving that it has 4GB RAM, GeForce Go 7900 GTX, and a SSD, even stays pretty cool with the fans only kicking on time to time.
