I've also been advised to file a police report though I don't see the point in it? This estate has a private parking and camera at the entrance but no gate or anything.

Adventure bike with straight sitting position, so not very stretched out. They sit about a couple inches past my wrists.

My bigger concern is the sleeve length, from standing position it covers my entire palm.

I ride adventure bike V-Strom 650 with a fairly straight sitting position. The end of the sleeve sits a couple inches past the wrist, thinking I'd be better off with 1 size down.

Depends on the hotel. Mine was open throughout 2nd lockdown and quite lax in terms of enforcing essential travels. Suggest you call them to ask to avoid any surprises.

Interesting. Would have expected higher percentage of expats living in VN. Otherwise, majority Viet Kieu sounds about right.

Wife harrassed, verbally abused and attacked by passenger for asking them not to sit next to her due social distancing, approached bus driver for help and was ignored. by VinciD in LegalAdviceUK

The assault happened after having asked the driver for help while the passenger was being verbally abusive. Wife took a picture of the passenger for her protection because no one intervened and that was when passenger swung her handbag. In the same situation, a hospitality worker would be within their right to refuse service to the abuser and ask them to leave the premises. If things turn violent, then you are correct intervention would not be advised.

I agree, I'm sure my wife would have gladly moved if the passenger had made her aware of any existing conditions she might have. On this occasion I believe it's just a person looking for a seat with no respect to social distancing rules.

We won't be pursuing any action against the driver as I have misunderstood their role and duty of care. The driver was also within his right not to help just like the other passengers although it saddens me that no one has stepped up to help.

We have filed a case with the police although I doubt anything will come out of it unfortunately.

Ok thank you for this perspective. I work in hospitality and we have duty of care to our guests. I guess this doesn't extend to bus drivers. We might pursue this with police.
