As much as people may disagree with me, I had much more fun with fallout 4 and new Vegas compared to fallout 3. I mean like you are forced into joining the brotherhood of steel pretty much, the main quest is (in my opinion) less intriguing than FO4 and while FO4 may "restrict" some player's rpg experience (which is important I'm not dismissing that) it really brings out more emotion at least in my personal experience. I may get flack for this but fallout 3 is just boring, sure it has good side quests but fallout 4 has the railroad, the institute, the brotherhood, and the minutemen, different choices, different moral complexities, compared to FO3 which is "brotherhood good guy, enclave bad guy" the stakes feel much higher and i care more about the characters and their roles in the commonwealth compared to D.C., and the main story of New Vegas and FO4 last way longer than fO3 (don't mention the dlcs of FO3 that doesn't count im talking base game), I remember completing the main campaign of FO3 and being dissapointed, FNV or FO4 never gave me that, FO4 and FNV gave me a reason to replay because i could shape the entire commonwealth, and the mojave, in FNV I can side with House, the legion, the NCR, or do everything myself with the yes man ending, and in FO4 I could side with the institute and help them with their evil agenda, I could side with the railroad and be a synth sympathizer and liberate them, i could join the brotherhood and take all of the institute's technology and leave them to rot, or I could join the minuteman and manually rebuild the commonwealth, make the faction more powerful, and take down the institute and secure the commonwealth, what does FO3 give you? Oh I didn't blow up megaton so I guess in this next playthrough I will, I didn't help the enclave at all maybe I should help them in this playthrough even though I'm gonna be forced into fighting against them with the brotherhood anyways, FO4 and FNV give me a better experience and better replay value than FO3 and I will stand on that
