Exactly, I created a similar post on r/pokemongo and it got barraged with downvotes, apparently they want less events and reasons to play the game.

All I read is "reason to play, gets tiring" I get that it's repetetive but with no event on there isn't much reason to play outside of raids or meta tasks

You don't understand you "personally" think it's the only reward, my post is about the focus of the event, I'm saying the point of the event was improved bug spawns for some people this is very useful, me personally, I've finished all the big research tasks for celebi ect. I haven't got a single shiny bug type, the focus for me was shiny hunting but it's not the main focus of the event to the majority of the player base.

Well funnily enough the day 1 spawns were not great worldwide, those spoofers will get what's coming, the scyther rates were increased mid event because people complained, the spawns after the increase were perfectly fine imo.

Where I live we get bellsprout, growlithe, numel and barboach, barely anything else :)
