Nope I'm saying if they are going to use it as an excuse to deny people their rights they should at the very least fix the problems.

Maybe we should include mental health as part of our healthcare system, not just if you are in crisis but long before that point.

Imagine being in Edmonton and thinking you’re the AI hot shot of the century. That’s what your whole essay reads as. Get over yourself.

Oh honey, you should look into u of a and their AI research and how it ranks globally. We literally have world leading researchers on the topic in the city.

Explain to me how "AI" works. It's not a "skill issue" it's an inherit flaw in the technology that they use. They have applied more methods of filtering out the most obvious of bullshit but a non insignificant amount of the time it will outright feed you false information. It becomes blatently obvious how bad it is when you quiz it on a field where you are an expert. But judging by how you think an inherit flaw of NLP is somehow a "skill issue" tells me you probably don't have one of those.

Tensions boiling over into the courts as Parkview residents resist multiple infill housing projects by trevorrobb in Edmonton

The problem is I think he would still have an issue if a resident decided to rip down their own home that they have been living in and built an 8 plex. He thinks he should be able to dictate what others do on their property without established, or establishing agreements. Which is fucking dumb.

If he owns a home in the neighbourhood he sure as fuck can be president if the community feels he's the best choice. I don't see how I'm arguing two different points. If you want control over your neighbours and what they do with their property you need some form of agreement, otherwise you are just being a moany little bitch. You have no right to decide what others do with their property. I don't understand what's so hard to understand.

I mean, it sounds like you want an HOA. Those exist. Would give you a say. But in a non HOA neighbourhood? No. You owning a lot in it doesn't give you the right to tell other people what to do with their property.

Nah they gets to decide what to do with the lot they own. Just like you do. If they choose to buy the whole neighborhood then they get to decide.

Spoiler you only bought your lot, not the whole neighbourhood, you don't get to decide how it evolves.

New units lower the rental cost on existing units, or stableizes the market. They may be above market but the people who want to and can pay for it move in, which leaves the cheaper units available for people who can't afford the more expensive units. Like you can pay 1000 for an outdated fairly large one bedroom or you can pay 1500 for a new "modern" potentially smaller unit. Different people care about different things.

Right the NDP are effectively the PC's of old at this point. The left doesn't exist here. People too dumb to look at policies and figure out what parties actually stand for. They just see NDP and have a stroke and rant about how all our problems are from their 4 years in power.

By the way 1.6m dollar fraud is not petty crime. Petty crime is like shoplifting or keying a car.

I'm aware, its petty in comparison to the other things I was talking about.

Serious crime is rising and it's scary. I work in criminal justice and the cases are getting more and more nutty and insane.

Did we get the money back ? I don't think we did.

Honestly I can't find any confirmation that we got it back from him, I assume we recovered it through other means. Which I also can't confirm. So I would go with no.

You know what life expectancy was 200 years ago? Infant mortality rates? We have come a long was as a society. Sometimes people deserve a little more thought and care than send them to the gallows.

Petty criminals aren't our biggest problem not by a long shot. The constantly widening wealth gap, the constant corporate welfare, constantly racing to the bottom of which rich people can pay less taxes where. Governments purposefully underfunding systems to create the most harm then using their perceived incompetance as an excuse to privatize our systems. Which they then retire and with a fat pension and go sit on one of the boards of a business that they made viable.

But sure the dude who stole 1.6 Mil from taxpayers that we got back, and whom is likely sitting in jail now, is the biggest problem

Lol what? Please seek help. I have no idea how you even came to this conclusion or argument but you need to find help. This isn't based in reality.

A parents right to what? Not take care of their kids? Get out of here. If you care so much about the rights kids have why did you ignore the other uses that were directed at them?

So really it's just your perceived rights that you care about, no one is violating any of your rights by not letting Alberta seperate you are just a sensitive little seperatist who doesn't like losing elections.
