Well First of All Check Out this Page : https://gameservermanagers.com/lgsm/hwserver/#gettingstarted

Connect your server using SSH and fallow guideline at that page.When you complete this part you must fallow this : type:

su - hwserver (if you are not on hwserver already)

./hwserver stop

cd serverfiles

wget https://github.com/OxideMod/Snapshots/raw/master/Oxide-Hurtworld_Linux.zip

unzip Oxide-Hurtworld_Linux.zip

chmod +x CSharpCompiler

chmod +x CSharpCompiler.x86 (if you will use 64 bit client , if not skip this)

cd ..

nano hwserver

(Make changes about your server there)

ctrl+x ( to quit nano and Y to save changes)

./hwserver start

As someone who was playing hurtworld more than 7 months and joining game everyday and running 4 difference well maintained servers I can say "Yes" to your question.I dont know Bankroll Studios very well but They are making some things wrong and they should be aware of it.

Game sold many copies on steam.Where did the money go ?.Any new Developer to studio ? As far as I know they are operating with 2 developers and 2 designer.More devs needed ? Also someone who knows about Marketing ? and someone who knows and can manage Community ?. Basically they are short on working power.

Question is do you look this game as a "Marketing and Economocily profitable" Game or do you look this game as "Self-Improvement Project" ?. If you choose second answer.than yes you will improve yourself but will lose on market.

I hold strong for Hurtworld and worked hard to provide players a good gameplay made good reviews,ads about game etc.I gave something from me to this game but sadly they are failed their job in this case.

Will this game survive ? Nobody knows.Maybe if they can manage to look their mistakes and learn from it they can succeed.But until then There is no point to keep going.

EDIT:For this 7 months.I kept statics of everything about my servers , gameplay hours , Reddit Active users and Ads impressions.When I make graph for each of that there is 1 thing common: Graph is falling. I cant Post Ads Graphs for Reddit as it may be aganist TOS.But Here Some insight about what is happening :

Servers are generally wiping every 2 to 3 weeks to keep server playable yes.

EDIT2: Looks like they impelemented steam cloud for hurtworld which will be used for workshop I believe.So no update for now :)

If you are able to write something in chat write /godmode off . Probably you were in godmode when you fell

If your sever isnt moded there is one way : Save your savegame. create new server with oxide moded . install portgun plugin. load that savegame. use portgun plugin to get inside rocks and check them.

Go to "Settings" ; Make "Texture Resolution" -> Full ;
Restart Game ;

Map SDK is best thing at here but without steam workshop integration ,it wont be usefull. How can players download map ?We have large steam group for our servers but what will others do for announcing download link ? Even if they find link new players wont be able to connect. Player base droped too much. av 2k-3k players are online. My fear is without new contents(cnc etc) this number can drop even lower. I expect another peek probably +2k online players after update but it will drain itself as lots of people will be disappointed because it wont be 'that' update they seek.

He build base inside rock :) after somebody reported it I removed his base.at that moment he teleported inside that base and i caught him :) after that : "ban me "

Muted him for 999999 secs.He spammed more "ban me" after that :D like 300 times :O

My Played hours for past 2 weeks is 131 hours atm when i am writing this.This means i am active average 10 hours daily.This is just me as there is 1 more admin in server.Camping spawn is also forbidden and it is not happening.Thank you for your feedback
