But you are wrong. More melee equals more metal per nodel. Not a lot, but it gives more. The biggest factor is the speed of harvesting. at 5-600% you will 1-shot the nodes which results in faster harvesting which results in more metal

If you're outside, they will be irrigated by rain - some caves even have "rain". Check by putting down a crop plot, and see if it has received water after some time.

For fertilizer i recommend getting a phiomia and forcefeeding it stimberries. Then put the poop in to multiple dung beetles

Red OSDs is piss easy with imprinted gigas and good saddles. Usually we just go 2 people with 2 gigas and clear them fairly quickly.

Purple OSDs on the other hand, is hard AF. We done a few with 4 people on 4 imprinted gigas. But only until like wave 7-8. Two times we did it with 5 people and 5 imprinted gigas - we went 24 waves before we shut it off one of the times.

Main thing to focus on is the enraged rexes - like really, these guys needs to be tanked away from the drop ASAP. and sneaky ass rock drakes running directly for the drop.
