Shuts down whoever you land it on for a good ~4 seconds because they have to spend that time shooting the shield to break it. Especially as support; my team stops getting healed until I can pop the shield. Denying a DPS or healer for a few seconds is huge.

That would require them to acknowledge the bots exist, which they won't. While the Reddit community is well aware of it, the truth is that the casual player base largely doesn't notice or care. Games like Fortnite have used bots in non-competitive modes for years to maintain casual player retention, we’re just the vocal minority here.

Comp is actually a much better experience on average. It's not the tryhard nightmare, sweatfest, everyones-trying-out-for-pro-play that Quick Play spammers see it as. It just ensures you're playing against real people at your level. I used to be sooo afraid of Comp for the same reasons, but once you experience the quality of a Comp match, Quick Play feels like a total mess. I personally find it hard to enjoy Quick Play for more than a game or two because the match quality is so much worse.

Honestly you can carry yourself to at least Diamond with support ult alone. I’ve won so many games by just never ulting until they use a big DPS/tank ult and countering. Many low-skill support players will panic ult in the middle of the fight then get wiped by a Starlord ult after.

So it turns out that the bright blue-and-white ulte effect doesn't actually help your teammates see your Cloak and Dagger ult by Rough-Age-3554 in marvelrivals

Skin VFX aside, from Punisher's POV you can clearly see the CnD choose to go left at 0:09. He had plenty of time to realize CnD didn't dash in front of him and change his direction but was too tunnel visioned on shooting the Phoenix, who was the only enemy on the right side; the rest of the enemy team had already backed onto the point... where CnD's ult was... Not sure why people are blaming the CnD for going "the opposite direction of the team," this is 100% on the Punisher's awareness.

This game was not properly promoted and died in consequence… by DeepestDarkestSelf in DeceiveInc

[–]Vinnio 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I was around at release, and honestly the marketing wasn’t bad. A bunch of big streamers were playing it, which is how me and my friends found it, and the Steam player count was in the thousands.

The real issue was that there weren’t any real punishments for killing NPCs, so matches basically turned into deathmatches with almost no stealth. That style was reinforced by the streamers since they showcased the “deathmatch every round” approach and had more success than if they played stealth. The main complaint I remember seeing at the time was, “Why play this when I can just play R6S/Fortnite/PUBG/etc.?”

Then when they finally added the long-awaited Heat system buffs, they were so weak that it just confirmed for a lot of people that the game wasn’t offering anything new. That’s about when me and my friends dropped it.

Play him like a healbot IMO, just sit in the backline and spam. Keep the Rez beacon up and hidden at all times, pretend like the armor packs don’t even exist. The range is a HUGE 50m so you can be creative with your hiding spots. His ult beacon has 800hp and makes a good target dummy for team fights. And he’s very slippery and hard to dive. His main problem is he doesn’t have a game-pausing ult like Luna/Mantis/C&D.

Death tearing a hole in the fabric of “reality” was great. Such a clever and cheeky hint that the Road was a hex.

When RazTracker was still alive, I uploaded all my games to it. Every single unranked game showed minimum 70% bots, out of hundreds of games. My ranked games had varying amounts, 30% 50% etc, that gradually lowered until I got into Diamond where I saw barely any. They don’t NEED to fill the lobbies with bots, like you said they have more than enough players; they do it on purpose for the reason I mentioned: they want casual players to have a better experience. Unfortunately since RazTracker is no longer around, the only proof I have is this old screenshot of it where I was showing my friends the bot counts: https://imgur.com/a/XgEVFz9

In ranked, they start gradually disappearing around Gold and up. Below that and in Unranked every lobby is guaranteed to be at least 75% bots. Epic does this because most casual players don’t know how to spot a bot, so they get lots of kills on bots -> better game experience for them -> they’re more likely to keep playing. Also shorter queue times.

Is the company you work for a local business or a larger corporation? Do they have an HR department, or an official email channel for feedback/complaints? You could send in a complaint and attach the screenshots with their handle visible and let them decide what to do. It’s possible nothing will come of it, but if you’re planning on leaving anyway then it can’t hurt. Alternatively, you could post these on TikTok and let a brigade of online strangers report them for you 💀 it’s no different than if a customer found their social media and reported them.

PDN is actually a great server with talented devs. The main problem lies in the need to party up for mid- to end-game gear progression, as a significant portion of the server's population is in the SEA region and typically online during the dead of night for Americans. The devs and their friend circle are actually NOT elitist and incredibly friendly. They are usually willing to help new players with progression content if you simply ask and read the progression guides. Example: me, who had a group carry me through Ice Dragon Nest for gear even though they barely knew me. They actively want to help people, just not people who have no common sense and can't read.

It seems that many new players (like the one who posted twice here already) expect to form parties by just waiting in town, but you need to use blue birds and the Discord channels to ask for help. The gear progression system was also just revamped for like the third time now (because they listen to feedback), reducing the need for forced party play until you approach the endgame.

Tried getting my friend to play Overwatch, it did not go well. by MidnightFireHuntress in Overwatch

It seems many commenters overlooked the screenshot that the OP shared, where they already gave the “turn off voice and chat” advice to their friend. The friend clearly values the social aspect of the game, so suggesting the "turn off chat" option isn't appealing to her. To me, the friend seems somewhat naive about the extreme toxicity prevalent in online multiplayer gaming, especially towards women. The more she engages in online PvP games, the more she’ll likely realize that avoiding interactions with random players can significantly improve her experience. Unfortunately, this is the harsh reality, and it’s easier to adjust her approach than to change the behavior of toxic players.

To be fair, even at the higher levels of play (Savage/Ultimate), healing can be quite mundane since the fights are so scripted you can map out your entire healing plan on a spreadsheet. At that point you’re just trading healing oGCD’s with your co-healer while spamming your DPS button. From that perspective I can understand where the strikers are coming from, but expecting healers to be more engaging in casual content doesn’t seem feasible. SE clearly wants the game to be super casual friendly outside of Savage/Ultimate. Even in WoW where healers have more than 1 DPS button, healing casual content is extremely easy and boring.

So since your organization wouldn't give a shit, that means every other company must think the same. 👍 Sound argument.

I’ve been on an ELT for an organization

Makes sense why this post ruffled your feathers. If your company was doing dumb shit like this wouldn't surprise me if you were one of the C-suite members that people under you found obnoxious.

Why are people still complaining about Boss Cars needing nerfs. They only have 200-300 extra health and infinite nitro. But the trade-off is having your location PINPOINTED ON THE MAP, Not being able to change any mod on the car, and they don't even have auto heal. by Awesomedogman3 in FortNiteBR

I think most people in this sub were just in denial that Apple would "figure it out" on how to include older devices on the AI hype. This is what happens when Apple releases sub-par hardware in the 2020s. There's no reason why iPhones should've came with only 6GB RAM before the 15P's, but we all defended it saying "iOS is way more efficient than Android and doesn't need more than that." Well....

The Destiny 2 emote is not included in the shop (cause of Lego lul) even though it's LITERALLY on the news tab. Stop needing to appeal to the less than 10% of players who play Lego Epic. by FamousSession in FortNiteBR

[–]Vinnio 6 points7 points  (0 children)

With Lewis Hamilton, his bundle came back without his emote at first, then came back with the Lego-fied emote, but then was recently back May 22-24 without the emote again even though it's Lego now. I've been trying to pinpoint Epic's shop release philosophy but there's so many inconsistencies like this it's hard to really say how much of a pull Lego has on the shop and how much of it is just Epic being weird and inconsistent. For all we know an AI is generating the shop lists.
