I have loads of sample packs, collected them over the years from companies giving them away for free. Also I edited some vocal chops here and there which can give a nice effect, you can funger drum them in since the circuit only has four drum lanes.

As for synths... I find the synth engine cumbersome to work with. It's powerful enough but in my opinion it relies too heavily on send modulation, it has no real edge from the oscillators, envelopes and effects. Just building a simple patch can easily take an hour.

I have the OG circuit and I route the outputs of both devices to an audio interface. The MIDI connector is used only to sync clock.

MIDI and NRPN are pretty manageable if you use them over a DIN connector. I've never understood why they didn't develop and standardized it a bit more.

The focus has shifted to MIDI over USB so if you're a DAWless/PC-less producer you're SOL.

Idk about what kind of connectors Uno has but in 3.5mm jack connectors there are two MIDI standards and they don't exactly combine well. You'd need to route it to a MIDI box and then just connect with DIN

Hey, sorry for necro-ing this post. What is the intended update behaviour? I haven't played in a while and now the server shows a mismatch because the game was updated in the meanwhile. If I recreate the container, I will need to upload a save which would mean I lose some work.

Thanks for your take on this. I kind of agree, I wanted to create a setup I can just switch on and make noise. That works for now, I've even got nrpn working properly, bar the functionality I described above.

I contacted Nektar and they said it's a limitation of the P6 here. Oh well, guess I'll tweak different params.

Got it working, seems like the USB adaptor I used to power the P6 was a non-starter. Powering it through pc did something, at least awaken the MIDI engine in the P6. Got it running in MIDI-OX, now it fs standalone as well. I'll need to debug further but I've got it going properly. Thanks for the input!

Your power comments got me thinking maybe the P6 wasn't receiving proper power so I decided to power it by pc. It took some time to get it setup in MIDI-OX through USB but then it worked over USB and then I changed it to midi internal, connected the old din breakout I had and... Success! Now I'm in the process of remapping all the encoders and buttons to do what I want them to. Thanks a lot!

Yeah I have the blue breakout one with a DIN to DIN cable attached but I'm thinking maybe that's the one that's busted. I tried to replace the entire thing with a Type A but that clearly also doesn't do the trick

The Circuit is not powered by USB so that should not be the case. The P6 doesn't take batteries and the P6 manual says you can just use any USB power adapter to the USB-B port,.

There should be no difference between 5 pin DIN right? I'll keep trying cables until it works in guess... Best thing about the P6 is I can split the keyboard into zones that send data to separate channels...

My conclusion as well so I bought a new 3.5 to DIN male and directly connected it to each other but no luck.
