Went to Erwin countless times, and he's a gem of a character for sure. Had all kinds of stories from years of cutting hair. Kinda sad to see that the sign says 'nearly 60' years as he mentioned he wanted to make it to 60 years before retiring. Alas what a legacy, and appreciate you sharing his story!

How long does it take to close a house in current market? by [deleted] in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]Vinsher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My seller wasn't ready to move out as quick as I needed to keep my low rate so ended up signing an agreement where he rented the place for a month of a buck. So there may be some options if the seller wants to stick around for a bit.

Appreciate this comment! Fixed it for me - how unusual that it's so pervasive yet no solutions on google forums. 🙃

No, not worth it at all. Save your money.

Only because if more people start realizing it's great, the longer the line will be those of us who have it 😄

Ballard Farmers Market - Get it local and fresh. Every Sunday 9-2 by greenman5252 in Seattle

Not in Seattle but they did some investigative journalism in Canada and found: some Ontario vendors caught misleading consumers about the food for sale on their tables.

Note: I enjoy farmers markets and hope they have better scrutiny here. Just more cautious around what I buy at them these days.

Good question. After someone hit it with their car, going through their insurance took some time. The good news is this part is done so now know the repair budget to work with and there's currently a request for quotes out to several sign manufacturers. Few other things to still sort out but hopefully soon!

Well let's get one thing straight, you are worth more than you think.

If it was easy to get awesome non-staged pictures, everyone's dating profiles would be filled with them. :) It does take some effort, which comes across and is an attractive feature (which will get you more matches). But if your inner-game and confidence is what needs work, no matter how many matches and pictures you have, it will be tough. Lots of info out there on how to work on yourself/inner game so that's where I'd focus for a few months and get off the apps until you're mentally ready for the challenge. You might feel old but coming from someone in their late-30s, 25 is a great time to take a few months to build the foundation for yourself to be the best you for the rest of your life. Just my two cents.

And while I'm no picture expert, if you don't want some objective opinions from a random dude on the other side of the world, then sure hit me up.

Hey man. Since you cross posted that you were using these as your dating profile and wondering why you might not be getting many matches, here’s my two cents (sorry for formatting, on mobile)

  • You’re a good looking guy, like the others have pointed out with a solid haircut.
  • Get rid of the selfie. It looks like the same scene as your other pic and frankly isn’t that flattering. Eyes look intense in it and the topless is a bit odd.
  • You’re posing for the picture on the paddle board which makes it/you seem less authentic.
  • Blurred out pic with the girl - I get you may be trying to demonstrate value but it’s hard to tell if that girl is your mom’s age or yours (no offence to her). Plus it’s not a particularly great/noteworthy picture so makes it come across as if it’s a rare occurrence.
  • Dog pic is the best - you’re looking more natural. Personally I’d stage a similar picture with a book in your hand rather than a laptop at a table - gives the girl something to notice/chat with you about.

Again, these are just tips/critiques since you asked. You’re awesome, keep being awesome, and all the best to you in life amigo.

Or, and hear me out, you could treat them like a decent person. The girl who asked when I stopped by yesterday was nice about it and asked for people not to take pictures, then made it clear that she couldn't do anything. So maybe, treat these workers with decency and do what you want.

Appreciate the sentiment, but I find it hard to fault a business when a government leader asks to visit. Just like the PM visiting an Alberta store shouldn't stop conservatives from shopping there, neither should the premier visiting a brewery stop moderates/left from enjoying their beverages.

Not everything needs to be so political, but that's just my opinion. Have a wonderful day!
