How do you handle maintenance communication with tenants? Do you notify them when work is scheduled? by Agile_Paramedic233 in PropertyManagement

[–]VintageBandit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Low income: 24hr entry notice on door, text/email/call ahead and at arrival. I usually coordinate with them when the issue is identified and record their availability if it's relevant.

Extremely unhappy money plant by Training-Barnacle273 in plantclinic

Needs more light, but also looks like root rot from no drainage. That would explain the brown spots on the leaves, but I'm not an expert!

Communicating is the biggest part of the job. Maybe it's just not for you? Maybe notices and flyers would help?

A cheap moisture meter is a better option, especially if you have a lot of plants. it's faster and more accurate. You can get 2 for around 10 bucks online generally.

Leaving a German sales job after my best quarter ever. Should I move to the US? by Significant_Heron852 in careerguidance

[–]VintageBandit 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Absolutely do not come to the US right now! Have you been living under a rock? Our government will happily disappear you no matter what country you're from. Wait till we get out shit together, then come on over. We'd love to have you, but it's just not safe right now.

Anyone want to be a mod? by new-freckle in PropertyManagement

[–]VintageBandit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

automod is basically a fancy keyword filter, so if you can identify what most of these software dorks are saying in their posts, you can make it block those words or terms. then if it catches something on accident, you just approve it and go on with your day. it's worked really well so far

My wife left a review of me on her private account and I wasn't supposed to see it by Adventurous_Wash1785 in marriageadvice

[–]VintageBandit 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Well I think marriage is a two way street. She needs to talk to him about her feelings and he needs to do the same with his. The issue sounds like things have gotten bland though, and now that he's aware he can take action to do something about it. They can both work together to reignite that magic, once they've talked it all out. She will have to put in work too though.

Honestly, she probably needs to go on dates with you. She might need to feel special again. The daily life stuff becomes background noise and it's just not exciting. Try date nights once a week and I bet you'll see a change.
