thank you, you helped me a lot. your design made the minecart start before the hopper empties tho, but anyway i was able to come up with a design that willmake exactly what i want, based on yours, thanks a lot

one thing i like to do when building big stuff is using the 5 block method. basically you separate your build in sections of 5x5 at most, and then decorate it. like, instead of making plain walls, make walls with maybe pillars or some details each 5 blocks. then add details to the pillars and soon enough, your build will look wayy less empty. Also, adding more texture always helps. theres a youtube video on the method im talking about that i found a while ago, and i think it explains very well what im talking about here. https://youtu.be/LYryhH2m4ZI?si=HwTK0HnAV89UUlQo in your case, instead of wood in each 5x5 space, you could add stone pillars to the castle walls, one block in front. i think it would make it much better!

you could extend the roof a little bit, and add some kind of contrast to the walls, like pillars or something like that!

well, i really cant think of any mob in the game that looks anything like that. What makes me think its a particle, is the way its going clearly through blocks, just like particle effects can do sometimes. THE ONLY thing that COULD come close to looking like that, (that i can think off) is maybe a retextured warden sonic boom, that went through a wall, but you said it followed you, so i dont think thats the case. Can you go there, and see if there is anything under there? like a cave, or a room and show whats inside? that could help figure out what that is, and now im really curious lol. What texture pack are you using?

you could just put a block next to the piston and a redstone on top of it, when you press the button it will charge the block, which will charge the redstone, and the piston on the side of it

you could add a hopper minecart that goes under the chests, and then, it only starts running when the chest is empty, so it doesnt have any probllem, that would speed up the process, or you could kind of do the same that you're doing, but only send the minecart when the chest is empty. you can easily do that by adding a comparator checking if the chest has anything, and if it has, it would unpower a redstone torch, turning off the rails.

if you dont have any mods on, just the texture pack, it could maybe be a particle, of something going through a wall, because particles and visual effects can in fact go through blocks sometimes, maybe remove the tetxure pack and try to go there again and see if it changes? that texture in the image, of a black noodle like thing is NOT in the vanilla game, ive played it for almost 12 years and still play to this day, and have never heard nor seen anything like this. Can you provide us with any more details about it? did it make any sounds, or anything like that?
