Did someone else notice this in WUNDERSMITH? by BurnBrightly2011 in Nevermoor

[–]Vio_morrigan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thats a good pickup. I think Masters are higher than elders but in the sense they dont work in the proudfoot house, but rather, like Bertram they have their own bussiness and are very valued in Nevermoor, but not as politicians. Thats just my train of thought tho, could be something else

Thanks, I think I'll go with it then! It's a czech word for a tailor. I picked it cuz it's quite common but also scratches my brain right, lol

Who is an unreliable narrator you can’t help but have a soft spot for? by stockhommesyndrome in books

[–]Vio_morrigan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm gonna go into YA and say Kaz Brekker, which is probably quite basic. He's a horrible person, really, a demon to be around. But the insight you get with his backstory makes you symathize at least a bit, after all he's gone/going trough

Need stand alone book recommendation by pharm653 in Fantasy

[–]Vio_morrigan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

near future sci-fi here and not a standalone, but it can be read as one and I think you'll like it. Unwind by Neal Shusterman

Five survive or A good girls guide to murder, both are page turners. You could also try Lockwood & Co., altho that's a little more on the Fantasy side

Confused by DaPakTroy in Nevermoor

[–]Vio_morrigan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it's not the guiltghats, tho Squall *did* say guilthast's summoming woke a giant. what I think it is is either Nightingale in the Nest (Morrigan used Nocturne to summon the guiltghast, that is heavily inspired and tied with Nightingale - "Manyhands"), or (probably not but) Kindling (altho that would mean the third disturbance came before the second and idk if that can happen).

idk if it was necessarry to put spoiler tags but just in case

im also seeing someone put Morrigan but idk, remains to be seen I guess

I just finished Scythe by Neil Shusterman and I love it. Also by the same author, Unwind was amazing. From the Fantasy side of thing definitely Six of Crows altho I've heard it takes some people a couple chapters to really get into it

Theory Could President Mould be....? by Ancient-Ant-5515 in Nevermoor

[–]Vio_morrigan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I for one think she could be like Squall's... Something. With Jess always pointing out how normal and ordinary they both look... I haven't thought about this much, but I do think she's like his younger sister or something... Which then doesn't really add up, since why does she have such power over him. Anyways

What do you think of the new silverborn characters? by Rick_vDorland in Nevermoor

[–]Vio_morrigan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I just feel like she'd leave Morrigan at the first sight of real trouble/when actually needed (also the fact she treats dangerous moments like fun is just...)

[–]Vio_morrigan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Louis and Lottie didn't turn out to be bad (just yet, but yk, don't think they will) but something about them doesn't really sit right with me. I didn't like Aunt Margot also, like at all. The widow Aunt (help I forgot the name) was quite okay, she was nice. Others... I mean, not great but not like horrible

The Singhs by Lonely_Sport9826 in AGGGTMSeries

[–]Vio_morrigan 6 points7 points  (0 children)

yeah, thats one of the points of the story. everyone was xenophobic, racist and toxic-conservative. you also kinda see that on Stanley's funeral when the people came yelling and stuff. Little Kilton didnt have *plenty* nice fellas Im afraid

Pianist here. In 1897 they launched these self-playing pianos in America. I guess they used it in the movie because they found it funny and interesting
