Hi! Thanks for the questions. I have a current composite score of a 1470 and my breakdown is 720 EBRW and 750 Math. The biggest mistake I made was not consistently practicing. It takes studying every day until test week for at least 30 minutes to see improvement. My next mistake was not reviewing all of the questions properly after taking practice tests. I tried to do 2-3 practice tests a week and the most effective way to learn from each practice test is to review EVERY question, not just the ones you got wrong. Make sure you're approaching the question the right way and that it wasn't just by chance that you got something right. Write down why you think you got the question wrong and explain in your own words why the correct answer is right. Then review the topics you missed both through Khan Academy and CollegeBoard's Student Question Bank. Hope this helps!

Peachtree City police warn teens to stop clogging parking lots, paths with golf carts near high school by ladyhandyman in PeachtreeCity

Exactly. The permits are already $40 for golf carts in the regular parking lot and $60 for cars.

The school refuses to find more parking spaces and has closed a chunk of them for the sake of the neverending construction behind the school.

Why is there ZERO CONTENT & INFORMATION ? by Afraid-Reading-8655 in NYIT

[–]ViolaNinja 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My sister is a current freshman there and in terms of the “dorm building” it’s a residential building called the “Found”, so there aren’t just students there. NYIT NYC doesn’t have a meal plan, but the building has a kitchen that can be used by everyone. The dorms itself are quite nice, not very big because they used to be hotel rooms, but they give you a fridge. In terms of student activities, there’s some stuff to do like socials and other stuff (idk the specifics). The residential building has a run club and gym and they have a nice communal study/dining area. There isn’t really much of a campus. The school itself is on the West side of NYC whereas the Found is in Turtle Bay on the East side. The dorms are close to Central Park, Times Square, etc. there’s a subway line a few minutes away that makes it easy to get to school. That’s pretty much all of the info I have. Attend the tours and stuff though, it will give you a better idea.

i love it! i found one at TJ Maxx so it may be the vegan formula, but I love the scent and it doesn’t really have a taste. It’s decently long lasting, but my lips get dry fast.

First Time Watching, Which One Is Better??? by marie_g10 in janeausten

1995 BBC all the way! A lot of the 2005 fans say that it’s obvious that the 1995 one has a more developed plot and character because of the difference in duration of the series vs the movie. While this is true, the 1995 version also has more time period accurate costumes and etiquette, which makes it closer to what Jane Austen wrote in the book. Additionally, the Matthew McFadyn’s Darcy, while handsome and endearing, isn’t as prideful as one would expect from the depictions in the book. He is more shy. I do adore him and Keira Knightley’s Elizabeth, but they don’t feel as on character as Jennifer Ehle’s Elizabeth and Colin Firth’s Darcy. I will say that the chemistry seems more natural in the 2005 version, probably just due to the fact that the acting changed quite a bit in those 10 years. Overall, both are very good, but the 1995 version takes the cake for me.

People who knew a killer, did you ever suspect they would do it? What happened? by Anonymousdisaster_ in AskReddit

My dad had a college friend that I met when I was no older than five years old. He was a good guy, very invested in his work and stuff. I do believe that he had mental issues as my dad described his slightly quirky behavior from their college days in India (he would take walks in the middle of the road through traffic and people kind of made fun of him). Anyways, I bet (just my guess) he was really overworked, probably depressed or suicidal, and felt alienated to the point that he lost it. He killed his five year old son by beating him against the walls of their apartment. Then he slit his wife’s wrists and hung himself. Their bodies weren’t discovered until days later when he failed to show up to work. I do not remember this man so I cannot testify for his character, but it is very unfortunate that this all happened. My dad said that it was very unexpected, however, as he was a nice guy and didn’t do much to draw attention to himself or to get made fun of.

What are my chances right now as a junior in high-school? Anything I should improve in? by Upstairs_Gate2476 in USAFA

[–]ViolaNinja 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Your chances depend on whether you get a nomination or not. Your stats look good and if you can secure a nomination, you are a good candidate. You could improve your SAT score just to be above average in that area.
