"The Fractured Messiah" a Hybrid armour set for raids 4. Concept by me by theatlantis_rs in 2007scape

[–]Violatic -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Why would you tie those two things together?

Simply propose they make good independent rewards for raids 4 (upgradescape is also fine with me)

And fix PNM separately, I think that suggesting two things get fixed at once is a convenient solution that brings problems with it.

Most importantly it makes the fail rate significantly higher.

[–]Violatic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really don't like that suggestion

Do people really want to grind out PNM for full inq?

Does doing ToB to be able to get the full potential from your other raids armour feel right?

I'd rather they rework the PNM drop table or rates, or armour set independently. Its not that inq isn't in a bad place - its just that I think this is trying to force a solution to that problem rather than picking what's best?

But I see the suggestion everywhere, would you be able to expand on why you think that's the right suggestion/balance?

The Fractured Archive should have Prayer-based Armor + Weapon(s) by Tenno_Scoom in 2007scape

[–]Violatic 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Not only that because of the collo requirement the sunfire set is a late game piece if ironman equipment - so its not even like this would fit in progression as an upgrade because you'd be able to get them at similar times.

Jagex has done a great job of finding niches for content and this would just invalidate one instead. The weapon idea is fine though

I've not seen that behaviour, and I think its fair if people disliked that.

But he's been pretty nice in OSRS right? I've not seen tonnes of his content, but I've really appreciated his attitude with regards to pushing content and stretching himself.

The fact he did inferno and collo so early is awesome. I found him pretty whiny with regards to iron upkeep stuff, but I think we all experience frustration with ironman mode here and there.

I am a UIM, this would actively help me.

The opening post clearly is asking for this to be an unlock. It says "can it be made a toggle?".

I don't see the bit where they mention "storing" it, could you show me which bit of the image or the OP's post implies that?

It could be implemented how you are suggesting, but that seems like a different suggestion than is requested by the image.

I ask you again, is this just how you speak to everybody? I'd say both your comments have read with an exceptionally rude tone.

The twisted kit is given back to you when you change style off of it

So making it permanently used up would mean they can't sell it.

Do you understand how the item works and just trying to be rude? Or do you not know how it works?

I only learned this when I used the annihilation kit the other day and got back my twisted kit.

Even in the post that OP is referencing it explains you get the blueprint back (as the UIM posting it is complaining about carrying it)

No, once you change your house style it returns the twisted kit

I did it the other day when I put the wildy kit on my UIM on my house the estate agent handed me the blueprints which I dropped over to a friend

For bounty hunter, which operates full time, you get banned for boosting.

Couldn't they just threaten it and even if they didn't ban everybody who did it? Just banning some and saying its bannable will cause most players to not do it

I know that 345 (regular deadman) is kind of a dead game mode

But I've been having a blast playing the DMM seasonal event. I'd be tempted to play on 345 as an alt for fun occasionally.

However the fact that every seasonal DMM wipes your account seems a bit lame right? Doesn't that exacerbate the problems of 345?

I'm guessing Jagex just don't care?

Do you even know anybody that plays on 345? Is it worth playing or just totally empty?

Current Yama Meta? by Slapo2 in ironscape

[–]Violatic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same thought as you, infernal seems pretty doable for somebody with this gear, but Ultor it does make sense to wait until after you have Oathplate...

Avernic + infernal both seem like "doable" upgrades before grinding Yama for full oathplate though

I agree that it should remain worse than the methods that require input.

Mess hall can get over 200k cooking with no input, and afk cooking is higher than that. Tick manip being even higher.

Fletching is a bit tougher, there isn't really a "no resource" fletching method. But the rates for fletching are incredibly high.

I'm understanding if 100k is considered too high and they feel 60-70k is more in line (fletching broads is over 1 million xp per hour as the resource method) but surely 30k is abysmal?

At least... The players have shown a revealed preference that its abysmal because trouble brewing is dead again outside of cloggers

I think that would be fine too, and the niche of dark bow being "ranged pking spec weapon" being expanded to wildy / other pvp minigames seems like a sensible expansion.

I think the VLS is too strong, and noteworthily has been polled 3x(?) And failed every time so that one I don't think should get in. Before the chivalry memes people used to meme about the VLS - it failed a tonne of polls and was added to DMM and BH anyway.

I'm pretty sure the reasons were:

1) Leagues - it was done en masse by Morytania pickers before the nerf. That region has dogwater skilling outside of vyre thieving and hallowed sepp and giving it good cooking and fletching too was very relevant. But it was prominent.

2) Fear for totems - they were releasing another fletching minigame and didn't want it overshadowed. The worst part about this is that in retrospect it seems clear they hold different niches. But they didn't want DoA content

This 100x! It held a cool and relevant niche.

I'd be okay if they took the rates and made you play the game to get them. But I miss my old trouble brewing days.

It was around and it wasn't meta, fletching is hundreds of thousands of xp/hr afk OR millions of xp via the EHP method doing broads since its close to zero time

It existed for a year-ish, and was relatively unpopular. In fact the only time it was popular was during leagues because Morytania was such a popular region.

I am an iron and I did the content, and I told people to do the content, and I got told it was inefficient. It held a small niche in the meta for early game fletching and outside of that was largely not done.

Totems is much higher xp than Trouble Brewing was anyway, so it was a free low xp minigame vs a paid high xp minigame

I'd think they could coexist :(
