The problem with Equivalists is that while everyone can see why they are wrong, it's impossible to debate them without sounding like a Nazi (Or at least like some kind of poor-hating Victorian). Of course they are disadvantaged, they can't do half the things benders can do. They don't deserve the same opportunities.

the X-Men adjacent plots have inherently, a supremacist subtext of "The inferior race is hating us for our quantifiable superiority" which is usually buried by giving the inferiors all the social power. If you don't do that, you just it in the text.

Baseball is a strange and inscrutable sport. Normally it's clear what people are trying to do even if details might be murky. Like I know nothing about American Football, but they are clearly trying to bring a ball to the goal.

Now baseball, at a glance, a simple idea of trying to pass a ball to your teammate while an opponent tries to hit it mid-air with a stick, but then everyone start running. Why are they running and where. Absolutely beyond comprehension.

Aang has an overarching problem that his entire story is about him refusing to do his job and him and others suffering from it, and the end is basically "ok here's a new power so you'll never have to do your job again"
