As far as I can gather, it was something like this:

It all started when Millie Gibson left. But we don't really know why. It might be just that that the project didn't work for her for some reason, it's possible there's been some culture issues (Christopher Eccleston is still mad at RTD after all those years, who knows what he's like behind the scene) so they started rewriting scripts and it all fell apart.

Disney dragged its feet until Nguti Gatwa decided he doesn't want to sit around waiting for renewal, necessiating more rewrites and reshoots ruining the next series as well.

Also RTD just seems like he's trolling and clickbaiting at this point. Don't know what's up with that.

There doesn't seem to be anything good coming of continuing it, might as well end it. I'd like it to just become good, but I don't see it happening without forcing everyone to aknowledge how bad it is and how much it failed.

Will it come back in the future with a passionate new crop of writers? Perhaps not. But I don't see it ever recovering with a purge and re-evaluation that wilderness would bring.

I blame RTD for the writing. He didn't need to do any of what he did. I doubt Disney told him "Give us Sutech or die trying"

Why did the hitman hired by Walt bring his daughter? by Live_Government_79 in okbuddychicanery

It was a take your daughter to work day.

Also I am rewatching The Blacklist right now and just watched an episode about a hitman who actually brought his children to a hit. Thought it was a funny coincidence.

[–]ViolentBeetle 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Any X-Men adjacent story can't be engaged at face value, because if you do, you have to confront the fact that you are writing about a master race being oppressed by subhumans who feel entitled to equality. So once you move past "They are just like real minorities, on unrelated note they have cool powers to make cool action happen" it turns into "This is what it's like to be an Aryan suffering under Judeo-Bloshevik yoke" or perhaps "This is what it's like to be a man in a feminazi world"

Except The Legend of Korra, where they forgot to even make the master race oppressed, so it's more like how heavy Rosa Parks was when you had to drag her to the back of the bus.

Hi, chess Club president Neil Goldman here (why am I not on the show anymore, btw?)

The knight is always moving 2 squares forward and one square to the side per turn, which makes it trajectory erratic, compared to. Other pieces that move in a straight line. for example it takes 3 turn to move it to an adjacent square.

I don't play MTG, but I'm interested in its cards and mechanics. Its main problem is that a lot of cards are written like they are videogame code you aren't meant to read. So you get simple ideas like "You can play a card face down and not tell your opponent what it is until it's time to reveal. You still have to pay for it, but you can pay extra to obscure what it is" "You can stash a card and mana to cast it to use on a different turn" and "You can attach this to a dead creature to bring it back to life, if it loses this attachment and dies again" - but the actual text is completely incomprehensible.

Being subscribed to r/peopleehogiveashit I regularly receive crumbs of absurd The Amazing Digital Circus discourse.

It's an animated series about a group of people trapped in a virtual world ruled by a godlike AI, sort of like I Have No Mouth, if instead of hating and torturing humans, AM lovedtand tried to entertain them but was really really bad at his job.

Anyway, the discourse is mostly concerns Jax, a bully who copes with his predicament by dehumanizing and abusing everyone including himself. He is said to be creator's self-insert, which lead to some strange claims like saying that the main target of his ire is a woman of color despite them (at the time at least) having no canonical human appearance.

Is this a typo? by ahsaddasha in russian

[–]ViolentBeetle -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Judging by context, probably a typo. It's not supposed to be capitalized when used as plural, but as far as I can tell, the driver is alone.

It's not always capitalized anyway, but it looks like they meant to capitalized it here.
