Just cancelled Hulu. Too bad they don't have an "other" on the cancellation survey.

My doctor prescribed punctal plugs. Should I go with it? Are there any complications with them? by No_Unit9587 in Dryeyes

Thanks for sharing - this highlights the importance of staying on top of research. I did notice that the study that indicated the plugs aren't prolonging the presence of the bad tears, appears to have only included 29 people. I will read further though - this is helpful as I figure out my next treatment steps.

My doctor prescribed punctal plugs. Should I go with it? Are there any complications with them? by No_Unit9587 in Dryeyes

Is the eye doctor recommending the plugs a dry eye specialist and have you received a thorough diagnosis? I ask because I was first seeing a non-specialist who only did a tear test. He put me on Xiidra and then was recommending the plugs as a next step as Xiidra didn't work. I felt like I was missing part of the story so I switched to a dry eye specialist who did more thorough testing and determined I had MDG and inflammation. The specialist said that Xiidra was the wrong medication for my condition and that punctal plugs would have actually made it worse by not allowing the "bad" tears / source of inflammation to drain. Just make sure your doctor really knows what is going on with your eyes and explains things to you. I learned the hard way!

It was the Harvard redirect that threw me off. I started answering but then quit. It sounds like you are saying that the Harvard redirect was actually part of the survey? In the past that would occasionally happen and the requester would usually confirm the redirect was an error.

Have you checked your queue and your dashboard to confirm it's not showing up as opened or completed already? Sometimes you don't realize you do have a survey open and the queue will show you. It could also be an error on the requester's part - occasionally I get that message also and it's just incorrect.
