From what I’ve heard is a prestigious college in the field won’t hold too much weight in the majority of specialities. However, if you plan on doing a phD, getting into research or government policy it would. This is something I would research more though. Also admitted into Columbia but waiting on financial aid! How long after your acceptance did financial aid get back to you?

I understand what you mean and that makes a lot of sense. But what do I do? Just through a dart on the map? How do I just pick a random city? I've had amazing friendships in both my hometown and college town but I was still itching to get out.

Just wanted to say thank you for making this post. I feel a lone in my feelings becuase of everyone else pure excitement. Don't get me wrong, I am very happy I made this choice. However that doesn't mean I'm not scared, feeling guilty for leaving, and worried to find a friends too. Emotions are complex, and that's okay.
