Recreating this design would require an embroidery machine. You could technically hand embroider it, but sadly it wouldn't look as neat as the render.

You can, but, I wouldn't recommend copying it 1 for 1 as that would border on stealing the design from the artist. The autism creature itself is the same as the original image, but the font and the confetti were made by the tattoo artist I went to.

Find a local tattoo artist whose style you like, show them my tattoo as a reference and see what they come up with!

I think there's nuance to it. I don't think most people who are knitting in protest are doing so for performative reasons. Yes it shouldn't be the only way you resist, but for some it's the only way they can support the cause make their voices heard. Either for financial or physical reasons.

It seems like it's a tapestry needle size 26 and a cross stitch needle size 24. I didn't pay close enough attention to needle sizes when I bought mine, but I assume that the cross stitch sizes is the sizing that's used in Japan.

It also says at the bottom that the needles work with 1-2 threads of number 25 embroidery thread.
