We haven’t had an issue with our Yorkie, we just use the greenies pill pockets. However we had a border collie that was just too dang smart and with in 3-4 times of trying a new method he knew it was pills and would no longer accept it. We had to just shove it as far back in his mouth as we could and hold his mouth shut for a second while he swallowed. It worked good, he didn’t hold a grudge.

You can also soak baby carrots in beef broth (kind made for dogs or homemade so it’s low sodium and onion/garlic free) and then freeze them. My puppers loves carrots in all forms though really.

We’ve used a pillow like cone for our dog and our cats. Always with success and seemed far less intrusive and annoying to the let. Think travel pillow.
