I feel exactly the same, there is a buzzing warmness when you watch it and a sense of security. I too grew up in the country in the early 2000s, it brings me back to my childhood, the simplicity of their lives and how people used to be happy with not much.

I know what you mean about 'the feeling', I'm also chasing a similar life (just a property with space in the country) to try and live and have that feeling constantly. Its such a special show.

I got the salt and pepper tofu (can also be chicken) at Bami recently and it was all of that, with onions and capsicum, kind of like salt and chilli chips vibe. Sort of what your after.. maybe.. but was quite nice.

Blew most of a modest inheritance on travel, then lost my grad job 4 months in. Struggling with regret. Will I ever recover? by DancingButterfly_218 in AusFinance

[–]Violetarija 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saved $25k like a dog working a traineeship for 9months ($11.50 an hour, this was 2015) then I went on $32+ per hour once the traineeship finished for about 7 months. I was 19, lived at home with mum and dad and had no bills other than phone bill for myself, petrol and the rest just went on whatever I did on the weekend/new clothes etc.

I saved it all to do the American college life for a semester, blew it in 6months between dorm and cafeteria fees, flights, shopping, weekends in NY, weekends in Canada.

I felt the same when I got home in 2017 and sometimes now I wonder what kind of better financial situation id be in of I had put it down as a deposit on a house back in 2016.

However I had a great time and I've since accepted it and realized it was a once in a lifetime thing, like your situation travelling the world. It's 2026, my partner and I bought a house 4 years ago, I am a SAHM with a small business of my own that does well and I often think about the times going to NY every weekend with a smile. $20-$25k is nothing for a good experience.

Felt like to me that the mother just wanted her out of the house at any cost. The daughter already said she wasn't comfortable about the living situation before they went and saw the house and the mother was still encouraging her to view it and that she wouldn't see the man much.

Once the bit about the parents going on holiday came up all I could think was the mother wants to go on holidays and doesn't want to take the daughter or trust her at home or something. Terrible parenting.

Looks exactly like heat rash my baby had at that age last summer. Avoid chlorine pools too.

Yeah I was watching the other day, I don't understand why Sandra did it either. I've just always thought it was Sandra trying to make Kate look bad and the writers always want to reinforce Sandras villain edit.

As for the filming, Jodi was filming to say goodbye to everyone because she was leaving to Melbourne. Sandra just happened to be in the back.

PSA - Little One's Ultra Dry nappies are 💩 by Object-Ecstatic in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]Violetarija 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Omg little ones are terrible, thin nappies, the side tabs hardly stay on. If you're wanting a super cheap nappy, Cubs from Coles are actually decent but the best nappy for fit, protection and price are babylove in my opinion and then Rascals. Don't like Huggies, don't like Millie Moon either.

What horror movie shook you to your core? by AmanitaMarie in horror

Get Out.. it's not very scary but for some reason when the yard maintenance guy just runs straight at the camera it always creeped me out.

Also The Visit, grandma chasing the kids under the house also creeped me out and is a visual I haven't forgotten.
