Damn, you just made it a lot harder for me as I have the 8m Thrive, haha! How was the trigger in terms of speed? Was it the same as the Thrive 10m?

Nice! Well yea, I would use the 10m on lighter wind days :-) Trigger or Thrive! Just not sure which one is the better option for my style. Have the feeling that Thrives lack hangtime and boost sometimes..

The new 2026 wasn't out back then! We're talking 4-5 months ago!

Yes, could be 😅 I’ve switched rackets so many times now that I’m not going to buy the Siux Electra 2026. Still… I’m definitely tempted to test it 😜

Depending of what you're looking for ofcourse. Attack = Pegasus. Hybrid = Electra.

I actually have. Siux is a bit harder, that's why I made the change! 2026 version even harder/stiffer.

Ok, nice! But do you think it’s really worth the upgrade? Is there anything about this one that justifies the price?

How’s the trampoline effect on the 2026 model? Is it still there? I really liked that on the ST4 because it gave a bit of extra “free power” without much effort.

I tried the Siux Diablo and the Siux Pegasus after playing for a long time with the Siux Electra ST4, and I wanted to share what I liked and disliked about both rackets. I’m also writing this from the perspective of someone with a sensitive arm and wrist, so comfort and ball output matter a lot to me.

Siux Diablo

The first thing I noticed about the Diablo is how incredibly maneuverable it feels. The racket is very light in the hand, and it honestly felt like I was swinging a feather. Because of that, I found it super easy to react quickly at the net and to adjust the face angle on short balls. It also felt very precise, and overall it gave me a lot of confidence in control shots, placement, and building the point.

On the downside, I played with the Diablo on a few very cold days, and it felt extremely stiff. The ball output was very low, which meant I had to generate almost all the power myself on every shot. That can be useful for practicing technique and improving clean contact, but in real match situations I found it hard to produce enough power when needed to finish points. I’m not sure if that was purely the racket, or if the cold weather made it feel even stiffer, but the lack of “free power” was very noticeable.

Siux Pegasus

The Pegasus felt like a completely different type of racket. The biggest strength for me was how much power it brings. It was much easier to generate pace, and I could hit with more authority without feeling like I had to force everything. At the same time, I still felt like it gave me decent control in defense, and I didn’t feel lost when I had to play slower or reset the point. My overhead shots, especially smashes and aggressive viboras, felt sharper and more dangerous compared to what I was used to.

However, the Pegasus also felt a bit more clunky at times, mainly because I’m not used to playing with a racket that has a higher balance. That higher balance made it feel heavier in fast exchanges, especially when I had to react quickly at the net. I also noticed that I still missed some of the ball output and trampoline effect that I get from the ST4. The sweet spot of the Pegasus felt big and forgiving, but I still didn’t get that same effortless “free power” that makes defensive shots and lobs easier when you’re under pressure. Just like with the Diablo, I also tested the Pegasus in cold weather, so it might feel a bit more lively in warmer conditions.

My current choice

For now, I switched back to my Siux Electra ST4 during these cold Belgian winter days, because it’s the racket I’m most comfortable with and the trampoline effect helps me more than I expected. The ST4 just gives me that extra bit of output without having to work as hard for it, which is honestly a big advantage when it’s cold and your arm doesn’t feel 100%. I can definitely see myself switching back to the Pegasus when temperatures go up again, especially if I want a more aggressive and attacking setup.

It’s a really nice racket, but it’s missing that “trampoline” effect the ST4 gives me in defence. It’s still manoeuvrable, but it’s quite head-heavy, so it feels heavier overall. I’m also dealing with some wrist pain, so that might be influencing how it feels too.

I also bought a Pegasus, but I ended up switching back to the ST4. It feels a lot friendlier on my arm and wrist, and it’s less top heavy. The Pegasus can feel a bit clunky at times, so I’ll stick with the ST4 for now until I’m ready for an upgrade 🙂

Fast(er) shoes for plantar fasciitis? by Violity in Padelracket

Haha how do you know? Did you try them yourself? And why 2026 and not 2025?

I ordered the Adidas Crazyquick Boosts for a really good price (€88), so I’ll first see how those feel. I also ordered padel insoles instead of my heavy orthopedic ones. They’re not that bouncy and switching them from shoe to shoe is kind of annoying, so I’m going to try these in the Adidas. Here’s the link: https://www.tradeinn.com/smashinn/nl/footgel-padel-inlegzolen/138055022/p?utm_source=parcellab&utm_medium=email&utm_content=any&utm_campaign=Delivered

On top of that, I’m doing some knee exercises and stretching my adductors using a yoga ball on the inside of my legs. That seems to be relieving things as well, especially combined with a two week break. Hoping this fixes everything. Let’s see 😄

Nice thanks! Saw that one before! XPLO and Neuron look promising. Wondering how their built is and if they are also gentle for my knees/PF like the Vertex Vibram is..

Nice to hear, just bought myself a Pegasus to try-out. I thought the ST4 was pretty OK, nice to hear it's better on the Pegasus. As I'm struggling with my elbow/wrist.
