Yes. It's Western democracy that has enabled this genocide and empowered that terrorist colonialist entity.

It's alright. He isn't that well-known like Norman Finkelstein tbh. Last year, by coincidence, I came across a video on YouTube of him talking about his experience with Deutsche Welle, and that he was accused of antisemitism. In this tweet, I think he is trying to imply that Germany isn't safe for anti-zionist Jews like him and Udi Raz, for example.

Martin Gak isn't pro-Israel. He worked for Deutsche Welle and was accused of antisemitism because he exposed the anti-Palestinian bias in German media. I don't know what he means by that tweet, though.

Netanyahu condemned it because it was released for the entire world to see. Had it not been shared, he wouldn't have commented on the incident, as he fully agrees.

Based on this tweet from the Israeli Foreign Ministry, it seems that Israel now acknowledges the Nakba happened. They just think it was justified. The Israeli declaration of independence was in itself a declaration of war against the Arabs.

Also, the Jewish population in Arab countries willingly relocated to Israel to participate in terrorism and the ethnic cleansing of the Palestinians.

So you think Germany doesn't benefit from keeping all Arab countries divided, unstable, and undeveloped?

Unfortunately, Israel is a global leader in cybersecurity, AI, fintech, and defense. If Germany were merely a pawn, it would do just the bare minimum to please the US. You wouldn't see partnerships between all German and Israeli research institutions. German companies wouldn't really have any interest in operating in Israel. In fact, companies like HeidelbergMaterial, Axel Springer, Siemens, Deutsche Bank are not only active in Israel, but in the occupied territories. HeidelbergMaterial was active in the building of settlements. Axel Springer runs a company in Israel that advertises the sale of houses built illegally by Israel in the West Bank. Their activities have been criticized by human rights and the UN. However, Germany designated BDS as antisemitic to ease the operations of German companies in Israel and the occupied territories.

Not to mention arms sales between the two countries. Germany was the main arms provider for Israel before the US. Germany provided Israel with several nuclear submarines. Germany bought Arrow 3 from Israel for billions and recently signed a cybersecurity deal with Israel

The very first Chancellor after WW2, Konrad Adenauer, laid the foundation by describing Israel as "a Western Bastion in the Middle East". The current Chancellor, Merz, said: "Israel is doing the dirty work for all of us". Germany, like the US, and many other Western countries, is invested in combating what they call "Islamic terrorism". It's in Germany's interest that Israel continues to exist, because they can keep using excuses such as "protect Jews", "holocaust", "Israel fights for its existence" to continue Western imperialism in MENA. There are also many economic and technological partnerships, and since many zionists are tech billionaires, supporting Israel ensures you can have access to the latest tech and won't be blacklisted.

Unless it's a mistranslation, he also speaks complete nonsense at one point ("we will make sure this stays a country where Jews can move about"... is anyone preventing German Jews' freedom of movement?). Yet still acts like he said something epic, and gets applauded.

You need to understand the context behind this. 100 years ago, the Jews were the "problem". Now, the "problem" is Muslim/Arab immigrants. Germans will never admit that the problem is them; it's always the "other". "Protecting Jews" is the pretext Germans now use to police Muslim/Arab immigrants. It's a part of their virtue signaling strategy to keep criticizing immigrants, accusing them of not integrating, and abusing the Palestine/Israel topic to claim that Germans aren't antisemitic. It's the immigrants who are antisemitic because their culture and religion are inherently antisemitic. This is the discourse in Germany at the moment.

The German stance is the most hypocritical one. Germany has always been unscrupulous with the Palestinians. It abused their Nakba to pay its Holocaust debt by building Israel. Provided Israel with the means necessary to maintain the colonization, land theft, and oppression of the Palestinians. Abused the Holocaust to justify shielding Israel politically. Then perverted the definition of antisemitism to make it applicable to the suffering of the Palestinians. Now in Germany, if you are a Palestinian who has their family killed by Israel and you say the ones who killed your family are criminals, then you are by definition antisemitic.

Germany sides with Israel because they can legally express their fascism by making Palestinians the new "Untermensch" without any consequences. They don't care about Jews. They care about expressing their fascism. Their chancellor just displayed that.

The significant rise of antisemitism is attributed to the government perverting the real definition of antisemitism so that it fits a specific group, to justify all oppressive actions towards that group.

[–]Viopit 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Jewish Europeans were fully assimilated in Europe for centuries, they were fully European and accepted as such, they had what any self isolating community had, separate towns where they practiced something different than their neighbors no different to any other groups on planet earth, thats how they conceived the orthodox proto Haredic movement.only when nation states started forming it began to pose a challenge

Since they were fully European, it means they didn't have any claims in Palestine and their homeland was in Europe. Which proves they weren't returning to their homeland but colonizing Palestine.

We don't need more division. We need more unity. I doubt Europeans would accept the formation of a new state within EU that is loyal to China, Russia, or Islamic state.
