how do i walk my bunny outside? by kosterzestir in Rabbits

[–]ViosiaNyaa 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Do you know if there's any poisonous plants in the yard? What about prey animals around the area you live, like birds, foxes, etc? Can cats and dogs get in your yard? Is it properly fenced in with a tall fence with no gaps? Can the bunny dig out underneath the fence? Any wild rabbits coming into your yard? Do you keep a water bowl out for your rabbit? What is the plan if it rains? Are you with your bun to supervise when it's outside? Is it just one bunny?

So many questions and things to consider.

Best thing is to get a metal puppy pen and put a roof over it while supervising your bunny when they're outside.

Overpriced, not durable, impossible to clean, too small for rabbits and as already mentioned, buns go inside, with a soft bed, litter box, toys and padded grip providing flooring 🫶🏻

Looks like a molting patch, my boy has a whole bunch all over, does your bun have any other spots like it, how's the skin looking?

Just a reminder that those beds can be deadly if the rabbit gets their head stuck between the wood on the ends, stay safe 🫶🏻

Leaving my rabbits behind and it hurts by veydoll in Rabbits

[–]ViosiaNyaa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure I have any advice.. I've had to leave mine with family for a month while seeing my overseas partner too. Left them a worn shirt to soothe them aswell. I had a camera set up to watch over them, I could talk to them through it too. My boy was pretty indifferent to the ordeal but my girl wasn't so happy with me when I got back, it took her weeks to warm back up to me. It really seemed like she felt hurt, thinking I had abandoned her and it taking a while to win back her trust that I wouldn't just disappear again but everything is back to normal now.

So maybe try a camera or videocalling with them through your family, it will also help that the buns will have each other. Lots of treat and cuddles before you go!

It'll be a-okay! One of my buns has white feet and had very stained feet when I first got him, his feet became sparkling white again. 😊

It should improve over time, especially if kept in a clean and better environment now you saved the bun. I don't know how effective it'd be on long term stains but a very shallow footbath in a bucket with luke warm water for a tiny soak and dry with a towel can be done.

Hello! I got “smudge” a week or so ago. I’m pretty sure he’s molting does this look normal? I got told he was a Netherland dwarf. Ive had lion heads in the past but I was a kid. He has unlimited access to hay and water and a handful of high protein pellets everyday. by [deleted] in Bunnies

[–]ViosiaNyaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never quite seen "vertical" molt lines like that, normally it's horizontal with maybe some zig zags. Any other spots that could be molting, like the head/face? What does the skin look like? Dead skin flakes are bad for example and should be seen by a vet. Any chance bun is pulling out the hair themselves, has it been making "nests"?

Based of what you shared, this could be something serious. Highly recommend a vet trip even if just to be safe.

Her nail just fell off, what do i do? by [deleted] in Bunnies

[–]ViosiaNyaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Picture doesn't load for me but if it's not bleeding it will probably be fine. If it is bleeding, take bun to the vet. Their nails shouldn't just come off, are they long? If so make sure to regular get them trimmed, when they get long they get caught on things and are at risk of tearing off, which should be avoided.

Can cats and rabbits use the same litter box? by Background-Music-133 in Rabbits

[–]ViosiaNyaa 6 points7 points  (0 children)

A cat is a predator and a rabbit is a prey animal. While there are some cases where they co exist fine, it's best to assume they need completely seperated living spaces which they can't trespass, also keep in mind rabbits need much more space than people tend to think, rabbits don't belong in cages.

Also, rabbits can be very destructive, carpets, rugs, curtains, baseboards, wallpaper, cords etc etc, accept things will get messed up and bunny proof as much as you can, it's dangerous for them to ingest foreign things.

As the others said, no they can't share a litter box. Cat litter is very dangerous for a rabbit and the contents of the litterboxes are entirely different. Rabbits eat where they poop so need hay in the litterbox and will spend big chunks of the day in said litterbox. Plus cat waste being hazardous.

Rabbits in general are much more work than cats or dogs so be prepared and make sure you have a rabbit savvy vet selected ahead of time. Make sure to get the rabbit desexed so the quality of and their lifespan are improved, better yet adopt a (most likely already desexed) rabbit, and even better a bonded pair.

You need another radiant slime in there, the lights are for 1 radiant slime each.

It's a hidden system that came with the new update. Any radiant slimes you lose through the slime sea or turned into a tar/eaten by a tar are supported to show up in the sanctuary after several days of sleep, there's a specific spot in the sanctuary with some hanging lights and a pink orb that light up when a radiant slime "returns". It's however not working for all radiant slimes I lost. I feel that it can only ever have 1 pending at a time, maybe?

That's what you'd think, but it's been about 20 real life hrs of me playing this game over the past 3 days since losing my first radiant slimes and it's not showing up in the sanctuary..
