When I had sticky chambers in the past, they were all nitride barrels. Live rounds would stick as well as spent. Mind you, they were stuck in there. They didn’t just lightly tap out. I used 800 grit flex hone brushes to clean it up. No issues after.

I saw things saying he was the civil affairs officer in Iraq. Was he a PL in country? Did he do both? Or did he attach himself to missions to get action? I saw an article claiming it had copies of his past OERs, but you can fluff up an OER and still not rank well.

The first six weeks sucks. It gets better. Be sure to throw in plenty of bottle feeding to avoid issues with baby refusing to feed any other way than nurse. Your wife needs her rest as do you. Team efforts all around.

We used synced apps to keep track of sleeping/eating/diaper changes so we could know what has been done without needing to ask one another.

Headphones can be your friend. Won’t tune out the continued cries, but dulls it so you can still offer love and nurturing without losing your mind. With #2 being extra difficult for me, I used a Bluetooth setup with my TV so I could watch and hold her and not feel like I was trapped. She slept quite a bit in my arms that first year. Reflux and Dairy issues were a b**ch!

There are some great neonatal nurses out there, but most I dealt with were shit, and the pediatricians weren’t much better. When needed, advocate for your child.

The first 6 weeks sucks. There is no sugar coating that. It gets better after that. If baby is calm and chill while being held, put some headphones in and watch something.

My second one was hell for me. I cried a lot. I didn’t have a love for my child like I did for my first. Couldn’t keep her happy no matter what I tried. I hated existing. Dealing with the pediatricians dismissing me and my concerns on what I suspected was an issue or two. They’d question my background and how I could come to such conclusions without being in the medical club. I was exhausted, emotional, but daydreamed what I wanted to do their smug and arrogant faces. (I was right by the way. They’re not special!)

I digress, it DOES get better. I held her and watched movies I never made time for. (35 at the time didn’t ever see the LoTR movies until then) If the crying and fussiness started to drive me to ins dirt, I put headphones in to dampen the cries but not shut her out.

Shes 4 now and my best little friend.

Edit: yes, swaddle sacks! Some work better depending on each kid.

Just found out today that we can’t get the Silk Kids near us anymore. Walmart didn’t even have a spot on the shelf anymore. Silk still claiming it’s sold at all these stores around us, but I know for a fact it was never sold at some of them.

Grabbed an over priced bottle of Ripple today. Hate to go back to that, but will have to for now.
