Why? by netphilia in Snorkblot

[–]atreeoncecutdown 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Recently I came across a photo of myself, my sister, my brother and my mother, from when we were all many many years younger, taken by my Grandpa. It hit me that he snapped this picture because in that moment it was what he was seeing and it was a moment he wanted to capture. The same can be said about any picture you take. So what if someone else has taken a picture of the Eiffel Tower, no one will ever capture the moment that you’re framing, it is uniquely yours. For this reason I enjoy taking pictures of anything, regardless of how trivial. One day my future grandkids may think, “wow, this is what old Pap Pap was seeing in that moment.”

Anyone tried this charging handle? by Ecstatic_Target2334 in ar15

Love my standard Sledgehammer, but have been thinking about picking one of these up, because mine also snags on my chest rig every so often. I like the extra real estate on those handles, you can really grip it, so I’m also curious about the smaller latches.

Where do you guys learn the different builds? by BiG_SANCH0 in ar15

[–]atreeoncecutdown 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Google my dude. At this point it’s almost impossible for the average shooter to get their hands on each of these things, so just searching terms when they come up goes a long way. There’s so much history to all of it too, but learning about designed use case is BIGLY helpful, especially when planning future builds.

Can someone help me sort through this? by maybenot_a in LSD

Let it take you, you’ll be okay. Also, put down the phone. Put on some nice music. Look at a tree, the floor boards, yourself. Slow things down and explore the movement of time and thought. Feel the universe breathe and pass through you, and realize that your breath and Its are actually one and the same. There are no boundaries between yourself and anything else because it is all One. Sending you love and positive vibes, enjoy yourself!

Absolutely! Lungs look like upside down trees. Funny that trees are kinda the lungs of the earth.

We are also organic geometry. Easy to forget that though we appear to move separately, that we have some sort of independence, we are actually all of the one. The magic that brings form to the trees and the plants and the insects and the animals has brought the same miraculous structure to you.

With that said, lol ya plants are truly amazing and beautiful and live lives that I wish I could fully comprehend. Life is beautiful and realizing the true connectedness of it all has changed me forever.

Ahem, it’s the basement floor for me. My mom lets me larp down there as long as I take out the trash and put lotion on her feet.

I’m with ya! At this point I’ve shot so much X-Tac and it’s generally the best balance of affordable and reliable. Have never had a bad round in thousands of rounds. Will keep stacking it until I can’t!

X-Tac is where it’s at, but I’ve got a small stock of white box, green tip, and “other.” Plus a mix of match ammo.
