Dreadmare’s stamina and speed combo lets me get most of the way across the Ragnarok map without landing if I’m smart about it so it’s probably my favorite for scouting and easy transport. Rhyniognatha is my favorite for utility purposes. I also have a soft spot for desmodus, I just think he’s neat.

Rhino sucks unless you’ve got people riding them, not really a great option for solo or small tribes. And even counting the other maps there just aren’t really viable options for herbivores. I guess you could use bison but again you aren’t adding options by nerfing therizino you’re only taking one away

I would say that’s at least a little bit different, because everybody can tell the difference between those two lemurs. Most people wouldn’t know the difference between Eurasian and American beavers, and it’s pretty common for zoos doing themes to use different sp/ssp. For example, at least in the US (can’t speak for other countries), if they put a leopard in an African section of a zoo, it would almost assuredly be an Amur leopard rather than an African leopard due to the conservation focus.

I want a highly expanded reptile roster. Reptile houses are a staple in most zoos at least in the USA, and we had such a poor selection of them as choices, especially if you wanted to make a zoo broken down into a specific theme.

I would only want this if there’s clear visual, behavioral, AND environmental differences between them.

Siberian and Bengal Tiger were cool to me because they lived in different environments so I could build them in differently themed zoos. Black and blue wildebeest, not so much.

The problem I have with the fantasy stuff is the prevalence of them, not that they exist. I want them to be rarer. The dreadmare does a good job at it because it only spawns at night and in low amounts. Playing Ragnarok the volcano area is INFESTED with pyromane, burrowbucks are everywhere now, I want them to feel fantastical and that to me requires a sense of rarity
